I don't think anyone thinks Harden plays good defense. But this is a POSITIVE thread, so we are suppose to talk about his positives. There are plenty of Harden plays no D threads for that discussion.
How do you not understand what he's saying? It was fairly basic and used a best case vs worst case scenario...
Harden would have been the hero of game 4 had Lin not lost the ball. He made numerous go ahead clutch plays.
He was 4-11 in 4th quarter and OT. He was 1-4 in overtime while taking the most shots during the period.
He had just hit 4 straight FTs to take us from 2 down to 2 ahead. He got the FTs because he attacked and looked like scoring so they fouled him. Where is the meh?
Yes, and you don't understand this how? Conley gets 100 touches per game, 86.7 of them are front court touches, where do you suspect those other 13.3 are? the locker room?
It's from NBA.com. There's total touches and front court touches. Just like there's total shots and 3pt shots.
The game doesn't go to OT without Lin's debacle, so that OT reference is irrelevant. Also, Harden did much more than just shoot the ball. You're ignoring many other parts of the game.
I was listening to the BS Report with Zach Lowe the other day and they just ripped Harden. They basically said the honeymoon is over with him and that he needs to improve his conditioning. It's tough to hear people rip your franchise player, but it's hard to blame them tough.
Yes Harden needs to improve his defense but its hard when the offense is a run and gun offense. Like Phoenix of the past, your just naturally going to waste most of your energy on offense, especially if the offense runs through you. Rockets need to slow down the pace sometimes and execute. Especially during the end of the game.
Those numbers are ridiculously low, according to this stuff Jeff Teague only brings the ball upcourt 8 times per game. That's hilarious. Try counting next time you watch the game, its easily 40+ times for any PG.
I am getting tired t taking sides here. McGrady came to the Rockets when he was 25, turning 26. Harden was still 23. Different game, talents. Starting to hate comparisons of any kind. Just be satisfied with him being injury free most of the games so far. Disappointed because before the season he said he felt more athletic than before. Didn't show much.
Well said. Blind fans just spoiled their team and players. Did Howard improve a lot in the past few years?
Thanks for taking the time to put this in perspective. I swear we have so many posters ready to pile on a player in a heartbeat. I get that certain fans may not like certain players. Everyone has their favorite. But aren't we supposed to be rooting for the team? If you can't see how Harden (and Howard) have vastly improved this team from three years ago then you're either not paying attention or you don't know what the hell you're looking at. Or, more likely, you care more about complaining and nitpicking than you do about being a fan. That's what I call a hater. You can be a fan while still being objective but lots of "hate" posts in here are nowhere near objective.
