Making Lillard play defense seems to make his luck disappear.

We didn't and won't initiate our offense through PG often. We mostly initiate offense through SG, sometimes even SF & PF. Who knew this could be a problem matching the Blazers?

Mchale isn't a coach. He couldn't make a gameplan for the portland series. Houston has four games stolen from them and they kept the coach. Literally if Houston had control of every game in the series and lost the series.

Tony Parker is superior to our starting PG.

People!!!!!!! Wake up and smell the coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our PGs are clearly arn't Spurs/Parker level, but that's not the whole point. When u said our PGs are weak, only one thing - you are dumb!!!

We got Better SG, we got a better Center. Players are Players - We need Coaches or coaching staff to complete the team. If Coaches aren't important why we even need them in the first place??? Obiously they are their for something - Xs and Os - which we clearly lacked.

I think Morey is just wanting Mchale as a Lame duck coach while recuiting for our 3rd best player. In this series, we clearly saw couple of things that by changing HC wont resolved overnight.

    1. Immature SG
    2. Defense
    3. Ingame adjustments
    4. Post game adjustments
    5. Players readiness

LA Lakers dominated with a great center (Shaq) and great SG (Kobe), while having a so-so point guard(Fisher)

The spurs have played defense, they have an offensive system/game plan and they don't have 16 mil/year tied up in an overrated center and overpaid fake sixth man pg that should really be and end of the bench player.

    Let it go man.

The Spurs are a team full of veterans. Sure there is no comparison between Pop and Mchale.

Comparing us to the Spurs is just as stupid as comparing Pop with Mchale. The Spurs players are professionals, doing enough in the regular season and kicing into overdrive in the playoffs. Our players are LEARNING TO BE PROFESSIONALS.

Popovich is on record saying at times when his team is playing like **** he doesn't coach. He tells the guys, there is nothing he can do to make them look after the ball etc. Then the players get together, hold each other accountable and fix it. Our players are not at that level yet.

My issue with Mchale is that his coaching style would work with a team full of veterans, but a team that is so inexperianced needs a more hands on coach and Mchale didn't adapt and alter his style when Sampson left.

Other than that...LET IT GO! We lost, the season is over. Get over it.

Does anyone know what McHale actually does to prepare his team for games? I don't mean that in a derogatory way. I'd really like to know what he's doing between games. Cuz I look at Game 2 against Portland and the way the Rockets came out and literally did NOTHING differently from Game 1. When you see that, it makes it seem as if our coaching staff didn't really review tape and didn't instruct the players to do change anything offensively or defensively.

democratic offense. they know lillard can get got on Defense if they screen him to death, but obviously we're too good for that. Give it to harden one on one and get out the way.

On defense, they commit to committing. We're never going to have that when players disobey commands and they disobeyed command even with Sampson here so I'm not buying that b.s.

Sadly, this is what Clutchfans is going to be until McHale is gone. Constant whining about the coaching. And the thing is, all the complaining on Clutchfans won't do any good. Someday McHale will be replaced, but it won't be because someone started a thread on Clutchfans.

You can't look at the Spurs/Blazers game say what we should do. Every team is different in regard to matchups. The Spurs struggled against us....but we struggled against Blazers but that doesn't mean we have to change things up just because some teams know how to beat Portland easily.
