    As many as 20 students were hurt went on a stabbing rampage through the classrooms and hallways of a high school outside Pittsburgh on Wednesday morning, authorities said.

    The student suspect was in custody and being questioned by police, Dan Stevens, a Westmoreland County emergency management spokesman, told WPXI, the NBC affiliate in Pittsburgh. He said that the motive was unclear and that the injuries did not appear life-threatening.

    I knew it, sooner or later it bounds to happen, pretty sure the stabber just got fed up with Michelle's healthy school lunches, he was so hungry he could not think straight. Thanks for starving our kids Michelle!

    It's amazing how numb we've all become to these school shootings/stabbings. I mean, this thread is 6 hours old and only has 9 posts - most of which are impotent political barbs.

    Even on the chronicle website, the headline is 2 slots underneath the headline that says "TV star goes nude for magazine cover."

    Sorry, but how does a punk white 16 year old Sophomore manage to shank 20 people before getting taken down?

    Thoughts are with those injured, but I can't imagine how a puny HSer can spree kill with a knife for too long before getting his ass handed to him.

    When the horrific shooting deaths of 20 6 and 7 year-olds couldn't even sway people to have a discussion on gun control, I finally gave up. I'm very jaded these days about our society.

    Imagine how much faster they could have stopped that lunatic if all the students and teachers were allowed to carry concealed firearms. It could be like the OK Corral, Dodge City, or Tombstone all over again. YEEA HAW !!

    To followup on Justtxyank's post it is most likely panic from people trying to flee. Most of us just aren't use to seeing a lot of blood. Many people who might've taken him down were probably in shock. Also you have to consider that taking out a determined attacker with a knife isn't as easy as it looks in movies even for those who might be trained. One thing we tell people in martial arts regarding knife defense is expect to get cut.
