Lin never made any excuses. He made ONE comment where he said that his back was the best it felt in a long time. McHale is the one who mentioned it specifically in a press conference. The Chronicle reported it specifically. And you weren't addressing Parsons or Lin themselves who have made NO excuses, you mentioned specifically LOF Fans using it and *OTHER* fans not using it as an excuse for other players. Yes, I remember a number of excuses for Bev's crappy play after the abdominal strain and for Harden during the ankle issues - also Parsons and his back.
Lin is a wildcard. Do I have faith Lin will step up? LOL, absolutely not. Am I sure he won't? Absolutely not. If I had to put money on it I'd say no though. Feel a little safer with that notion. Is it ok to say I don't know? Or should I hate or love him?
Saying you don't know is perfectly legitimate, same as believing he will or he won't. Folks will believe what they will believe. Folks saying stuff like it's absolute fact, "He'll never be XXX" or "He's definitely going to YYY" is when it starts crossing into the extremes. I like Lin, and I have NO idea what he'll look like in the play offs. We never really know until you see an entire play off series. Some players look great for the first game or two and fizzle, others suck the first couple games then find their groove, some suck an entire series and find it in the next round, and some are great out the gate. None of us will know until we get there.
From here on out, we will see whether or not jlin is truly nba calibre or just another mediocre scrub

My question was somewhat cryptic. Let me rephrase it for clarification. Tinman, is your hatred of T-Mac greater than your hatred of Lin? Hence, "mini" Lin. Discuss.
Look at Ghost Face's outfit lol. He had gems on that jacket. This image is from the late 90s. How did he know? By 2008 I see many these ugly fake gems on designer jeans and other attire.
I go back to the video and look at the game in Toronto just over 5 years ago and I smh. It's just horrid to see Tmac perform like that on purpose.
Lin hasn't proven himself in the playoffs to be tmac. You first have to earn the reputation as a playoff series failure, that takes many teams and many years. That's not indicative of his play though. Lin will never get tmac money because he doesn't have tmac talent. Lin however is not a type of player who would clash with the coaches or make media comments to Stephen a smith instead of his team.
I seriously doubt that you can even called yourself a Rockets fan. Whether you hate Lin or not, he is the only legit point guard we have left on the team. What good would it do to our team if Lin really sucks in the playoffs? You just sound like you want the Rockets to lose just to prove that you are right about Lin.
