Haha, seriously. We've been hearing about the Browns being a potential landing spot for Tate for like 2 years now. Usually when things are that obvious, it never comes to fruition. Either way, good for Ben.
at this point...gotta wonder if tate at 2 years 7 mil is better than foster at around 40 mil... love foster but damn, thought tate wouldve gotten more
Its clear that running backs are no longer highly valued around the league. Any team that has a lot of money tied into a position with such a high injury risk, along with a very little "elite" shelf life, will likely not get anywhere close to decent value out of the contract.
How do you not keep Tate at 3.5 per season? I know Foster makes a ton at the position, but we will regret letting Tate walk. Maybe he just wanted out of H-Town. Didn't want to share time and carries with Foster. But if we could have kept him at that price we sure should have.
