http://hangtime.blogs.nba.com/2014/03/10/rockets-stake-claim-as-nbas-best/ I posted this in the Rockets - ESPN and TV Love thread but thought more might see it with a thread of it's own. Rockets are starting to get some love!!!
Talk to me after Tuesday Night. Not being Debbie Downer, I'm as excited as any Rockets fan right now, but we need to avenge a couple of BAD losses to OKC.
THIS!! I'm loving these amazing wins, but can we finally beat those OKC bastards? So sick of that team kicking our asses, it's time we crush them.
I have to agree with this. Not to take anything away from this past week but beating OKC in OKC would be awesome and frankly the biggest win out of all of these. They're the team everyone in the West is going to have to go through, most likely.
I know you're not suppose to count your chickens before they hatch, but my chickens are hatching faster than I can count them! This team is a legit contender! No one had beating Miami and Indiana in the same week, the Rockets did! We gave the Pacers their worst loss of the season! We have the best record since the beginning of the the year (2014), I'm not saying we're going to win the championship this year, but the road to the championship doesn't just go through OKC, it has to go through us as well! GO ROCKETS!!! ....... ....... .......
This, please, this. We are definitely better than the first half of the season, but we've hit a couple of good teams during their slumps. Still need better D to get anywhere in the playoffs, IMHO.
Yeah. I predicted we'd go 2-3 during our 5 game stretch that started with Miami. We're now 2-0, so I guess I have to be OK with us losing our next 3, which is as hellish a roadtrip as there can possibly be.
Exactly Rockets are more ticked that they lost to okc the way they did at home last game. No Perkins and no Thabo S. too...
That logic is valid, but it's also a loser's mentality. Can't let another team's circumstances dictate how well you play or how well they play. Rockets just have to become hunters and take care of business.

The Rockets should be pissed too though. Last time they played OKC, they had the infamous 19-point 2nd half. If that doesn't get you fired up, I don't know what will.
Win or lose Tuesday night means nothing in the grand scheme of things. We have been absolutely the best team in the league since the new year.
I think before we can claim to be the best, we have to take out OKC on their turf. THis is a killer week - too early to claim us the best team in the NBA right now.
I wanted to say the same thing as you posted here. This stupid being pissed theory after a bad loss of the previous game needs to be stopped. If this theory is true, the heats would not lose three games in row, and the pacers will not lose four games in row.
