In his tenth year in the NBA, guy is having the best season of his life.

    http://espn.go.com/nba/player/_/id/2426/trevor-ariza

His averages include career highs of 15.0 pts, 6.4 reb, 1.9 stls, and 43.1% from 3 point land.

Not only that, he's been performing better and better this season. Since the All-Star break (9 games), he's averaged over 18 pts, 7.3 reb, 1.8 stls, 56.3% FG, and 60.8% 3p% and just put up another 28 point game today.

    Arizanity?

It's pretty crazy. Frustrating thinking about how he should've done that on the Rockets. Then again...it is a contract year for him soooo...

He plays with John Wall and Bradley Beal.

    Ballhog, he is not.

Forget the "late bloomer" nonsense. It's a contract year. Chumps like Trevor Ariza are a problem for the NBA. Rockets fans well remember how he performed once the ink was dry a few years ago.

My memory may be failing but I don't remember anyone questioning Ariza's effort. I remember him just not being good enough to go from being a role player to a "star". With that said, I think this will remain his best year after his career is over.

The problem with Ariza is that he has a small brain.

His lack of intelligence falls into suit with the other players that Kwame loves.

    ;)

He's getting $7mill right now. How much is a 29yo defensive 3pt shooting SF with his numbers worth?

If the Wiz retain him on 3yrs $15mill, I'd consider that fair.

Team option if he wants $18mill or more

Ariza is a championship role player. He's not a loser like you. ;)

This is correct. He's always played hard. That's what made him a fan favorite in his first couple of stops in the league. He's not a scorer but would definitely be a good get as a defensive role player for any team.

I do think his shooting has improved slightly since Morey made the mistake of putting him in a scorer's role but he's not a sharpshooter like his numbers may suggest. He just performs better when he gets more set shots.

Ariza has been really good! But Ariza has and always will be a great role player. In Houston, I think the idea was that he could become at least a secondary star, i.e like a Chandler Parsons this year type player. But he is far too inefficient to be a secondary or even tertiary scorer.

In order for Ariza to be effective, he needs better players around him to create shots for him; Kobe and Wall. If he was in Houston with James and Howard, he would be putting similar numbers as well.

This is strange, but I had a dream last night Lin got traded for Ariza.

Stop being dumb. He clearly was given the green light (since we had no one else) when he was signed and he just wasn't good enough to be the star. I always cringed watching Ariza try to create off the dribble and pouting because they didn't give the ball to create, but he always played hard for the Rockets.

He's always been a good role player and when he is put in a good situation he always has performed.

No one questioned his effort, everyone questioned his stupidity and consistent attempt to play like he's Kobe and failing at every turn and costing us games.
