Since there is no team in the east capable of beating the Heat in a series besides the Pacers, then its a lock he will stay then (I cant imagine the Heat not winning 2 games in that series).
I think Lebron secretly has his eyes on Houston. He knows wade is declining and is injury prone. Money ain't no thing for Lebron. He makes like 300 million from endorsements alone, so signing lbj for the mle is possible. It's like Stephen a. Smith said, people love winners. Why else is his face in Turkish airlines? He has pressure not only from fans and media to win but from his sponsors and endorsements. He will do whatever it takes to win a championship. If it means to jump ship and join the rockets then so be it.
BEST POST I EVER SEE. I been a member for some years now, and i dont post a lot, but this thread is 5 star. Only thing im not so sure is why op wants to add Parsons to the equation. Lebron for lin + asik already match salaries! Get it done morey! i just puked
people don't seem to understand that a sign and trade has nothing to do with having fair value go both ways... its just a way for one team to clear some salary while the other doesn't lose their star player for nothing.
^^^ It would be similar to how the Iquodala sign and trade happened. http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/9467997/andre-iguodala-golden-state-warriors-randy-foye-denver-nuggets-trade-completed If we could find a third team that valued Lin, Parsons or Asik more than the heat it could be even better so we could get extra draft picks to send to Miami. If Lebron says he's out it would be a huge mistake for Miami not to do a sign and trade with whoever he decides to sign with, simply because they don't want to help the other team out.
Any title he won while being paid basically nothing would be tainted and criticised endlessly. He'd be running the "mercenary" gauntlet by choosing any team but miami or cleveland, but to do it for significantly less would increase it tenfold (a million here or there is meh), which is why it would never ever ever happen.
