this is too funny, i haven't seen a rockets huddle this engaged in an X and Os strategy timeout ever...when Mchale is drawing up plays, sometimes he doesn't even look a the clipboard
Except something happened that has rarely happened with McHale as coach. We ran a good play from a time out. Even Clyde pointed out that we were running the EXACT play again where Harden got fouled. He even drew out on the screen that Lin goes around the arc first, followed by Harden who gets the ball. I thought to myself, this is stupid, they know what's coming. Then Lin head faked the break and Harden ran first, wide open around the screen. Too much to be a coincidence?
See above photo. This clip happened AFTER the Harden layup. Jeremy was pointing out how they were going to switch on defense. He did not draw up the Harden play.
LOL i love patrick, you can see him telling the others to pay ****ing attention. I love our PG tandem.

I actually remember seeing this kind of stuff quite a bit during broadcasts. The players, Lin in particular, are often talking, gesturing animatedly and even drawing on the white board during timeouts. Don't know the exact content of the discussions but it's pretty clear that they are talking about some X's and O's. It's probably just how this group works and how the coaches want them to work. The players are encouraged to speak up if they see something on the court.
Yes, it is too much to be a coincidence. This clip was AFTER the play, and there's no reason to believe that the players have had no input throughout the entire season. The camera coincidentally catching Lin, Beverley or any other player talking about a play or drawing on the board in the huddle THE VERY FIRST TIME that it has ever happened in the NBA or for the Rockets is incredibly unlikely.
This is awesome. A clip is worth 10,000 words. So many things are happening in that clip. We went hard straight into the locker room.
