I think that's a very accurate assessment, outside of Alex Smith being a true 6'4, they are almost exact. Questions regarding competition, came into his senior season with a somewhat "slight frame", ran slower than expected (4.71), but considered to be extremely intelligent (40 on the wonderlic).

If we ended up with Alex Smith, I'm not sure I would have a HUGE problem with that.....

I would, you don't waste a #1 on an Alex Smith type. He's not a franchise QB type. He's the type that won't lose a game when you have dominant D.

You must have just started watch football

San Fran had an OC every year for about the first 5-6 years Smith was qb

A complete coaching debacle to boot

I could see that happening then watching Manziel tear it up for Jacksonville, would be worst case scenario. Facing Luck and Manziel every year and throwing out Alex Smith.

I'm a Johnny fan but would not be too upset with taking Bridgewater. Just can't get that scenario out of my head.

Not saying he's an Alex Smith type, just saying that's could be his floor based on what's been written about him. He's drawn comparisons to Aaron Rodgers too, which would be his ceiling.

On the flipside, we've seen super athletic QBs like Manziel flame out in the NFL (VY, Tebow). Now, I know JM has a better arm than Tebow and more than 2 brain cells to rub together compared to Vince, but just saying...his floor is seemingly much lower than Teddy's. He seems to enjoy being a celebrity too, and that scares me. And Bortles...I don't think any of us have seen enough of to know. At the end of the day all we can do is sit back and rely on our front office anyway. But to me, Teddy seems to be the smartest on the field of the three and that counts for a lot.

If all you can do is bash others opinions with ad hominem attacks like you are in middle school you aren't far from your username. A reflection of today's growing incompetence and lack of respect. Another example of the drivel of newer posters in this once proud site. You'd have to learn how to tie your shoes before you could put on said boot.

    Keep flapping...typing away

Clearly you have no idea of the facts

Niners have a continuous coaching/OC carousal which hurt their qb situation entirely.

If you don't know or can't see that, there is nothing I can say to you.

Hell no... I have a problem with you acting like a beach when you don't agree with other people's opinions when that 5h!t isn't necessary. But hey _ what's a circus without a clown.
