    See, ya'll?

Easier to walk away than to be forced to lie to the media.

Landing Dwight was such a coup but it's something of a shame to lose Asik, especially like this, fallen into the same "we-loved-you, now-we-just-want-you-gone" abyss (but maybe not to the same depth) as Scottie Pippen.

He went last week to see a specialist in NYC , so the news mustn't be good.

I do find it funny that the 7-10 days is conveniently a week before the trade deadline.

You can't deny that he looks slick in it, though.

    http://blog.chron.com/ultimaterocke...back-in-the-gym-and-teammates-are-encouraged/

Rockets center Omer Asik, who has been out the majority of the season with thigh and knee injuries, went through the team’s shootaround on Wednesday before they hosted Phoenix.

Asik still hasn’t done any contact practice, but did go through some of the team’s five-on-zero drills and walk-throughs.

His teammates were happy the see the big man back in the gym.

“We were all just messing with him, joking with him,” guard Jeremy Lin said. “He has to get his rhythm back. Good to see him and get him back with the team and get him used to what we are doing and what we are running.”

Guard James Harden said getting Asik back would help the Rockets improve as their push for the playoffs continues.

“We definitely miss him out there on the court,” Harden said. “He is such a great talent. he did so many great things for us last year. He is one of the best big men in the NBA. We are grateful to have both him and Dwight (Howard) on the same team.

At Tuesday’s practice, coach Kevin McHale said Asik could be cleared to play in the next 7-10 days.

“Getting him back is huge,” forward Chandler Parsons said. “He can be one of the better centers in the league and having the luxury of having him and Dwight would give us another body, another 6 fouls. His size and length bring a lot to this team. He will play a lot of minutes so we are hoping to get him back as soon as possible.”

Jeremy Lin: (reading from 3 x 5 notecards)
“We were all just messing with him, joking with him. He has to get his rhythm back. Good to see him and get him back with the team and get him used to what we are doing and what we are running.”

    James Harden : (reading from 3 x 5 notecards)
"Getting Omer back will help us improve as we push for the playoffs. We definitely miss him out there on the court. He is such a great talent. He did so many great things for us last year. He is one of the best big men in the NBA. If I were some other team I'd offer three first round picks for him. But we are grateful to have both him and Dwight on my---I mean, on the same team."

    Kevin McHale:
Omer will be cleared to play so Boston knows he's in good shape for a trade. (someone hands him 3 x 5 notecards) What's this? 'Just read it,' Daryl says. Okay. Ahem. (reading from 3 x 5 notecards) "Asik will be ready to go in 7 - 10 days." Like that?

Chandler Parsons: (reading from 3 x 5 notecards)
"Getting Asik back is huge. He can be one of the better centers in the league and having the luxury of having him and Dwight would give us another body, another 6 fouls. His size and length bring a lot to this team. He will play a lot of minutes so we are hoping to get him back as soon as possible.” Can I go practice now?

    Dwight Howard:
He'd BETTER get his sorry butt back, at this point I'd fellate Brandon Bass just to have this resolved. Hey, Daryl! Where's my cards? (someone hands him 3 x 5 notecards) Thank you. Hope the words aren't too big. Ahem. (reading from 3 x 5 notecards) "Boy, it sure will be good to get him back, not just for now but the rest of the season and beyond." Come on, Daryl, I wouldn't buy that with Monopoly money. Keep reading, he says. Ahem. "Omer is really a load out there and will help us win a championship." Man, where's the galoshes, it's getting deep in here. NEXT!

Omer Asik: (waving away 3 x 5 notecards that someone tries to hand him) Omer does not need. Omer memorize. Ahem. "Omer is much gooder. Omer getting ready to play. Omer likes Houston. Wants to stay and help team because Omer is good teammate." Is good? Omer can go?

Jonathan Feigen: Daryl, I think we got enough for the article. Oh, I get my cards too? You want me to tweet this, hunh? "Omer Asik too valuable to team and balloon payment all but squashes trade, anyway." Got it.

One day before the trading deadline, IF he is held out from playing that game then a trade is in the works. I can't wait for this Asik saga to finally end.

If Asik does come back, will McHale keep him on a short leash? Make him earn his place back in the rotation?

I will say this makes me appreciate how well Lin has handled losing his starting job. Polar opposites in professionalism. I would have never guessed Asik would react this way after last season, he seamed to be such a good teammate.

Just heard this quote on Mike and Seth's show on 610, looks like the Chron left out the tail end of Chandler's quote. "Hopefully he's here mentally."

Seriously why is Parsons saying all this **** about his teammates?

He also said somthing stupid when Omer started pouting, than the whole "the ball moves better without Harden" and now this

He really think he is someone big in this team.
