Their stupid owner hired D'Antoni too. It seemed that their roster was more suited for Phil Jackson. I think if they had a coach that actually knew what to do with Pau and D12, they could have made a playoff run. Kobe would most certainly not have played so much down the stretch. Now the same stupid owner signed away a big load of cap space to someone who looks like he might be on his last legs.
blake just went out for 6 weeks, didn't he? it's like the universe is messing with him. he broke his glasses, then the nuclear war that left him with all the books and all the time happened.
Reality setting in for the Lakers. Should never ever ever pay a dude with massive NBA mileage rehabbing from one injury a 3rd of the cap for following year. This is why the Lakers are on the brink of destruction. Inflated Ego's and aging superstars exploding and creating mammoth black holes...
He did take a paycut! And he is smart enough to know that nobody was coming to play with his old ball hogging self in the next two years. If he took less it wouldn't have been enough to get him a ring. He made the right call.
Kind of feel bad for Kobe. But I'm glad LAL just moved from a potentially 8th pick in the draft back to 12th to 14th.
It sucks to be injured but I don't feel bad for an nba player making millions with 5 rings. Best of luck to him but eh. I've always disliked his personality. It's prolly karma for being a dek his whole career he will never get the sixth
hopefully his recent injury didn't make you think that is the only reason why he isn't getting his sixth
