D'Antoni is doing a great job. Although that may change when the diva returns. We'll see if he has the balls to stand up to chuckbe.
As others stated, Kidd should be fired now. He will likely be here till the end of the season, but I expect them to bring on an "assistant" coach to do the real work. I suspect brown will be the first.
I'm going to say Woodson because of the NY market. They are going to have to save face, so they will be looking to get it over with as quick as possible.
Edit : Meant to say Don't see how Larry Drew is on the list. But Was going to say Mo Cheeks should begin to worry a little that Detroit team had a lot of expectations although it's not his fault anyone could see the Josh Smith signing was terrible.
imo, I doubt Woodson or Kidd will get fired since they're still able to win their conference despite their poor records.
They're 6-10. Can they be better? Definitely. I don't think Mo is in any danger (yet). Milwaukee? Caron Butler, John Henson, Ersan Ilyasova, Brandon Knight, O.J. Mayo, Gary Neal, Zaza Pachulia, Luke Ridnour, Larry Sanders, Ekpe Udoh That's a 2-13 team? Then again, I never would have thought Phoenix would be one of the worst teams with their roster last year either.
Larry Sanders has been out most of the year. What exactly is special about the rest of the players on the list? Hell Ilyasova has also missed most of the year. People can clown Jennings and Ellis all they won't but that is terrible team offensively. Ellis > Mayo Jennings > Knight
Bingo. That alone will be the reason that Mike Brown won't be fired first, but boy does Cleveland look like a mess right now. I'd say Woodson. Dolan doesn't know patience, nor basketball.
Jason Kidd... I get the feeling he took the job just to remain in the limelight and stay a part of the spotlight. I think he cares more about the perks and benefits of being a coach instead of actually coaching. I could totally see him going out clubbing and partying with his players until the wee hours of the morning and being hung over and not giving a **** about running real practices or watching film. He probably thought he could get away with the talent he has and other veteran players to lead the way mixed with drawing up a few plays that worked well for him when he was a player.
The Knicks need to right the ship, and fast, or risk losing Carmelo Anthony in free agency. Mike Woodson isn't the problem--James Dolan, the owner, has always been the problem and will always be the problem--but an owner isn't going to fire himself. Lionel Hollins is an available big name, as is George Karl. My guess is that Hollins is the choice, but he's not a magician, so the Knicks will continue to be mediocre. Jason Kidd didn't assemble that idiotic roster, so he's not the problem in Brooklyn. He's brand new, though, and hiring him was a big, bold move by their megalomaniac of an owner, so firing him this fast is an admission of failure, and will therefore not happen. What will instead happen is that the team will hire a big name, probably George Karl, to be an "assistant," but who will be the de facto head coach. Which is, of course, a ridiculous idea, and will not work, at least not in the long run. Tyrone Corbin may also get fired but probably not right away. Woodson will be gone first. Another possibility is John Kuester, the Pistons head coach.
Jason Kidd is most definitely part of the problem in Brooklyn. That was like handing the keys of a Lamborghini to a toddler needing a tricycle. Also, Kidd already has an assistant that acts as head coach: Lawrence Frank.
