Keep arguing who should start at PG is stupid. The problem starts with the star players on this team. Neither Lin nor Bev could improve the defense of Harden and the FT of Howard. Neither of them could stop DeAndre Jordan own our bigs in the paint.

Whether Lin starts or not won't fix his defense or turnover problems. Bev no doubt fits much better with Harden and is an elite defender.

You're right. The PG play has been great this year and bottom line the problem is not there. Harden shooting 4 of 16 and 1 of 7 for three's doesn't help much, and Howard's momentum killing trips to the free throw line also don't help much. Last year we ran a ton of PnRs will Asik and that flowed real well inside our up-tempo style offense. With his improved FT shooting Asik this year would probably average 14/12 which is not so far off from Howard's 17/13 and plus Asik fits in better with the type of offense the Rockets are geared to play.

    Asik: $8 million
    Howard: $22 million

I agree with Calvin Murphy. Lin should start and play point guard to get the team going.

if mchale really commit to find the best roster for starting and bench, he need to scramble, included harden as the 6th man... anyway don;t hate, but all possibility have to be done in order to find a great formula.. without holding on 1 man

Who the hell is Calvin Murphy and what does he know!?

Lin is the whipping boy and has to be benched. Otherwise more attention might be payed to the s****y job McHail, Harden and Howard are doing.

If we can play team basketball. A win is obvious. I don't understand why Howard, Harden, Lin, Parsons, ... can't play to each other.

Start Lin and Bev... bring Asik off the bench.

    Case closed.

Good, maybe Calvin should be the coach.

I'm also thinking that maybe they are planning on trading Lin soon. That would be the only reason that they don't start him in my mind. I like Bev and I think he does a good job but the Rockets need to start out the game scoring.

    Lin improves ball movement

    Therefore he should start.

it's a good point and we did went 3-1 with him starting but wait....it's mcsuccess's experiment he havent got enough samples to figure out the factors cause our lose. let him lose more to collect samples, maybe he will finally found out the major factor is we score less than the opponent.

That's the problem mate.. Rox aren't starting off scoring because this makes Harden be the facilitator more than the offensive machine he is.
We need Lin to start. AND we need Bev to start too. TT isn't working. Bring in Asik at the 6 min mark of the 1st and give D12 some rest. TT sub will work, but not our LD's (little daggers) (Lin+Bev).
We need Lin for his offense and also for his playmaking, we can't let Harden do everything... that's how he gets tired, and then starts performing extremely sluggishly.... which allows the other team to either catch up to our lead that we have, or allows the team to straight up butt rape us and beat us...

We need Lin/Bev/Harden/Parsons/Harden to start every game unless a team we're facing needs our TT's in the game at the same time. But we need Bevs defensive threat and Lin's offensive scoring and playmaking abilities from the beginning. I honestly don't see it any other way. We need this to happen. NOW.

Isn't it the other way around? You showcase the players you are going to trade, not bench them. Hence Asik & Beverley + scrubs = LMA????
