Oh, and there isn't much difference between 9th and 16th, because those places were given almost randomly to teams that didn't climb out from group stages.
Yeah well qualifying to the quarterfinals will be a sweet dream, but I have to keep it realistic,I'm aware of our weaknesses and I also mentioned them here earlier, I can't be delusional but at the same time I believe that Israel is one of the candidates to qualify from group A which is a very weak group,if we won't be able to qualify it means that something obviously went wrong here, because this is maybe the most talented national basketball team we have ever had. Too bad Gal Mekel decided to not participate and represent us with our national basketball team, but I think it was a smart decision.
Hi arno_ed, Good to see another Dutchman. Geboren in Israel, getogen in Nederland (in de omgeving Enkhuizen, daarna Amsterdam). Jij?
Another dutchmen:grin: There are more here than I thought. I think the first dutchman on the Clutchcity (as clutchfans was called back then) was Ace. I think I was the second. I grew up in a small town between Utrecht and Amsterdam. Now I have lived in Wageningen for about 12 years.
My father is Dutch-Indonesian, his father was an Olympic Diver in the 1936 games... Family name is Haasmann. In studying my Haasmann name I found that we most likely descended from the Hasmonean dynasty or Maccabees. My mother is an Assyrian from Mesopotamia in North Iraq and I was born Down Under in Australia mate. Aussie Aussie Aussie! Oi! Oi! Oi!
My Sig wasn't a hint:grin: (granted I do not post that often) Wow dutch speaking people taking over this thread
HEY! I know Wageningen. I had a girlfriend from there. I met her over the net, she came to Israel and we dated a few, later i visited her in Holland. Wageningen is a beautiful place, i remember it was green all over and i loved the river near (i believe the rhein) with the special cross from side to side. wow! memories

Turkey vs. Finland and Israel vs. Great Britain live in 5 minutes. If you're not sure which one to watch, I'd strongly suggest Turkey-Finland, since Turkey is better than Israel and Finland is better than Great Britian. Finland usually is fairly competitive. Have hardly ever underachieved recently. http://espn.go.com/watchespn/index/_/id/1081037/turkey-vs-finland-preliminary-round
