Where does it say that they are blaming the Texans for Will Smith's injury? I don't see any mention of the Texans being at fault in that article.
Case wont win the back up job. Not because he didnt play up to par...just because Yates did everything he was asked to do, and he did it well. Preseason game 4 wont really have much of an impact on the back up position.
As long as Case makes the team, I'm happy. It doesn't matter much who is the designated backup QB. If Schaub goes down this season, so do our hopes of a championship.
That article and some tweets I read made it sound to me that we were getting the reputation of knocking yet another player out for the season. Some Dallas fan tweeted that they needed to make sure the Cowboys rest all their starters lest we knock someone on their side out for the season. I don't know, maybe I'm reading something that isn't there but I was concerned about any reputation we were quickly assembling on this front.
It is pretty easy to read the news and make assumptions, I guess. If I recall, the only person that touched Smith around the time of his injury was Cam Jordan and Matt Schaub.
