nah he's actually wrong. if that were the case nobody would shoot below 70% because everybody trains in the off season to get better. i mean how could you even know?
of course he's a millionaire. just curious how much it would cost an amateur athlete to go through that same procedure.
i feel a bit sorry for Lin. It's as if every waking moment he isn't working on his jumper he's committing some unspeakable evil. Should've done those dribbling drills in a lava pit. Beverley is probably out in the Russian alps killing bears with his bare hands.
Lin's new signature move is to change into 9 players all shooting at once... only resulting in 18 points because he'll have 5 feet on the line. :/
If you watch at the beginning of the vid, it was at the Gatorade sports facility. I could be wrong but he was there at the beginning of the off-season. He now trains at Stanford.
He has always been held to Linsanity's standards and expectations ever since that magical February. Unfairly. Anything less he was slammed for basketball play as well as character. Hey people, we ain't in NYC or LA, why be soooooo harsh on our own young and developing player??? If you do that you're no better than those "reporters" in NYC or LA.
The second penetration works best if the defense has to close out. If the defense doesn't close out, the second penetration is easy to defend as defenders are already in the paint to help. Beverley, Parsons, and Lin are much better options as guys that can stretch floor and penetrate. Against elite defenses, you can't waste opportunities whether it be an open three or a lane to the basket. I see it as the offense has options. After the initial action, the ball gets kicked out. Shooters force aggressive close outs. OKC can force the aggressive close out, but it doesn't have supporting players to put ball on floor to punish this close out. Lin and Beverley both have the potential to hit threes and to punish aggressive close outs. It is all about distorting the defense.
I am really pleased to see him busting his tail because he has to continue proving his value at the NBA level especially more because he is Asian. Deep down inside I know Morey doesn't want to look like an idiot for letting go of Jeremy twice and him going off on both instances. The only way Jeremy leaves if we get a sure fire Superstar out of the deal (i.e. Chris Paul (before free agency signing), LaMarcus Aldridge, Kevin Love...etc). Other than those type of players he is going to stick the season out with Jeremy Lin to see how much he has improved.
