I think Lin has shown All-Star potential, but the Rockets don't need a player like that at PG, so he's a waste of money.
Really? because in the last poll fans said Lin would have to rise above expectations if the team was going to be a title contender.
For the record, I voted for ALL of these options: I root for Lin to do well and generally like him as a player I would prefer to see Patrick Beverly start over Lin (this is debatable) Lin is a good basketball player and just needs time to continue to improve and find his niche Lin is capable of being an all-star Lin is a mediocre point guard It’s up to Lin to figure out how to fit in our offense and he should just focus on what McHale wants
15% is not majority but a good amount of vocal ones. Say you have 50k posters, that accounts for 7500 people.
When we first obtained Lin. I was vocal because I was a huge Lowry supporter, and his fanboys annoyed the hell out of me.... Which is saying a lot because I'm fairly annoying myself. I hope the rockets succeed. If Lin can help, wonderful, if not time fore morey to work his magic.
Good post - however I DID vote for that option, and I don't hate Lin whatsoever. I'm OK with him being the starter. I just also see him as a great Ginobili-role type of guy. That's about it.

I disagree. Harden is the de facto PG of the Rockets, and we'd be better served paying for a quality PF who can shoot. All we need from the PG is a guy who can defend and hit the occasional spot-up 3. Bev is cheap, and considering Morey's track record for finding PG's that can play right away, Canaan can provide spark from the bench. Factor in that Canaan and Bev's sarlaries combined are cheaper than Lin's.
My personal opinion of Lin. Positives 1. Has high upside 2. Excellent playmaker at times 3. Amazing at running a fast break 4. Hard worker. Great teammate 5. Excellent P&R player Negatives 1. Was not fully comfortable with this offense, and seems to have trouble 2. Was not a good shooter last year(although seemingly improved towards the end of last season 3. Is overpaid by Morey's standard(I don't care about NBA standard, because average NBA GM <<< Morey) if he maintains his production from last season 4. Plays in a way that seems to give up too much of his body. What I personally find stupid is that LOFs thinks that people who support Lin being a 6th man is slighting Lin. If anything, people are looking at Ginobili, Harden, Terry, etc. as playmakers/creators who managed to contribute more by staggering their minutes with starters.
Since you thought that this video of Beverley was somehow relevant to my position on Lin... how did Lin do in this game?
