Astros sign DR SS Wander Franco for $575,000. http://www.baseballamerica.com/international/dominican-shortstop-wander-franco/
In fact, all the men in the family are named Wander Franco. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p><a href="https://twitter.com/whattheheck57">@whattheheck57</a> Dad (Wander F Franco) signed with White Sox as LHP in 1991. Youngest Wander, 12, hits and plays SS too.</p>— Oz Ocampo (@OzOcampo) <a href="https://twitter.com/OzOcampo/statuses/357278867305660418">July 16, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Perhaps he will give George Foreman a run for his money if he gets a little more busy: Sometimes I wonder if George is in a race to beat the NOW CD company for most sequels of the same name
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Astros Sign No. 24 International Prospect Wilson Amador <a href="http://t.co/vMaaf2PXMt">http://t.co/vMaaf2PXMt</a></p>— Ben Badler (@BenBadler) <a href="https://twitter.com/BenBadler/statuses/360422303244357633">July 25, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
“Amador is a premium athlete, and one of the top shortstops in this year’s class,” Astros Director of International Oz Ocampo, who scouted and signed Amador said of the short stop. “Our scouts have observed Amador in numerous workout and game situations in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Florida since he was 14 years old. Amador projects to have three future plus tools, as he is a 6.4 runner with a strong arm and quick fielding actions."
Ben Badler: Wilson Amador signed for $400K after an elbow injury was discovered. Originally agreed to sign for $875K. Also looks like he's been banged up a bit too.
Astros now have $2,114,000 remaining, less the bonuses for Frankeny Fernandez, Osvaldo Duarte, and Nestor Tejada.
Yeah. Don't you know I'm Oz Ocampo's apprentice? If you actually read the scouting report on him, instead of playing this rather tiring act, then you'll see that his game does show similarities to Jonathan Villar. Man, you're such a breath of fresh air around here.

Yeah dude, I can and do read. It's just silly to compare teenagers to pros (or to anybody frankly), is all's I'm saying. Sorry to clutter up your blog.
Hell, I'm still waiting for Ovando to be the next Darryl Strawberry. That's what they told us, right?
