Shaun Powell: Hearing the Clippers will be in play for Dwight Howard next week. It will depend on salary and sign and trade. Twitter @Powell2daPeople

I doubt the fakers would help them. Already threads on this.

Clippers want to get Dwight without giving up Griffin. Not going to happen.

I am sure the Clippers are hoping to move Bledsoe, Deandre Jordan, Caron Butler for Howard. But the Lakers would ask for Griffin/Bledsoe (if they would even contemplate a move at all).

Yup. As long as Clippers don't move Griffin, the chance of Dwight to the Clippers is non-existent.

Oh, so the clippers got doc rivers? How did they get him?

Dwight is the type of player you dump the ball dow low to on the drive for an easy dunk. He gets the rest of his points from tip ins. So if he wants to be more involved in the offense then he needs to rebound more and make cuts to the baskets. Chris paul will not give him the ball for him to make an inefficient post move and miss or turn the ball over. He is too smart for that.

Lol, so... Deandre, Caron and Bledsoe? It's hard to see the Lakers biting on that.

Even if they did offer Griffin, I can see the Lakers turning it down. Jim Buss has proven to be a stubborn, prideful guy, and he cares more about image than anything. He won't pair Paul and Howard together on the team that shares his arena, not going to happen.

I think the Lakers are set on tanking, getting a top 5 pick and cap space next year any ways.

If "whatever it takes" means they will move Blake Griffin to get him, the Rockets will have a hard time getting Dwight.

I got flamed on the board a few weeks ago when I said that this is something to watch out for, and could be Houston's biggest opponent to getting Dwight. If the Clippers value Howard as a large upgrade from Griffin, this should be a rather straight forward deal to get done.

I also think that Mitch K. and Buss would swallow their LA pride and be thankful enough to get back a legit superstar in Griffin for Dwight. They say now they aren't open to a S&T, but when the rubber hits the road on Monday and Houston looks like they are going to sign him, and leave the Lakers with nothing, dont be surprised if they make a call to Fegan/Dwight to ask if he would be interested in going to the Clippers instead.

Of course it will. We will hear another team has the inside track to Dwight on a daily basis. People going to be going nuts around here for the next two weeks.

Clippers would be smart to get rid of that overrated Griffin for a true superstar in Dwight Howard.

If the Clippers offers Griffin then we have a major problem.

Why add value to a city Rival? Why compete with the Ugly Step Child? Lakers with Cap Space is way more attractive than the OK girl "Griffin" I see the Lakers waiting it out.. Cap space/Wiggins...

The reporter specifically said "not at the expense of Griffin", so I don't think whatever it takes includes that.

In the end it's up to Dwight. If he wants to play with us, a sign and trade doesn't matter cause he's a free agent, not under Lakers control. So he can just sign with us outright since we have the cap space to sign him and don't need a sign and trade to get him. If he wants to play with the Clippers, then ge can demand the sign n trade. So hearing this is irrelevant.

This won't work out for either ball club.

Even if Clippers offer Blake, the Lakers are too prideful to give the city up to their 'noisy' neighbor. Lakers overall appeal and value is going to tank if they allow it to happen.

CP3 can demand all he wants, but he can't possibly get everything. Spoiled c***.
