Beverly could't shoot for many games. Worst than Lin.

Daryl Morey said he's 100 % confident he will be able to make cap-clearing move, but has nothing in place.

He is more of a combo guard in a small mans boody. He is a good shooter who fits in our plans for Dwight. He can punish teams for collapsing on howard

Drafting a PG at 34 is not changing our PG situation lol.

Lin/Bev is still the duo. Caanan is a Valley Viper until a call up. Come on people.

I have no idea who this guy is, but he has a pretty cool last name. I guess this means either Brooks will not be resigned here next year or Lin will not be a Rocket next season.

Even it being early 2nd round, I thought Houston was going to take a chance on Myck Kabongo...looks like no one did.

The Rockets shoot 3's and drive to the basket. This guy is EXCELLENT at shooting 3's and driving to the basket. This team has been begging for a legitimate consistent catch and shoot player.

And Harden needs a backup and his name is Lin...

Would an accurate assessment be Aaron Brooks 2.0?

Every year Morey picks the BPA and every year people act like it signals the imminent trade of another player on the team who plays the same position. More often than naught, those people end up being wrong.

More than likely, the Rockets drafted Canaan because they believe he has the talent to be an NBA player in the long term. He will likely spend most, if not all, of the next season in the NBDL. If he is intended to replace anybody on the roster this year, it's most likely Brooks.

But we'll see. If Jeremy Lin does go I'll be excited - not because I don't like Jeremy, but because I don't believe the Rockets will let him go for anything less than a star player. Even if Morey wanted to trade Lin, he'd have to have a hell of a trade lined up to get Les Alexander to consent to it.

That's why Danny Green couldn't score in games 6 & 7. Because when Miami started paying attention to him _ he couldn't beat his man off the dribble. You can pass the ball all day but someone still has to do something with it. He can create his own shot and has unlimited range and a 40 inch vertical.

Once you get to the playoffs and defenses tighten up, the teams that advance usually have to run heavy isolation plays on the perimeter and or post and players having to beat their man off the dribble.

Seems like a great value pick. I didn't follow the players in the draft this year but the first thing that stood out was his PPG. Sounds too good for a second rounder.
