Yes, he is like Dragic, and I do NOT want him. Same as Dragic. Not a real point guard, low basketball IQ, no real point guard skills, all athleticism and no brains, etc. There are much better European players that could be drafted in the 2nd round.
YES!!!!!! I remember when this kid made victor Oladipo look like a fool. This kid is legit. He does a fantastic job of using his body to get separation and has a tremendous amount of skill. however he does not possess elite athleticism which is why most teams are passing. but if the rockets are serious about this whole go for it all next year thing then we need somebody who has developed the skills to be an immediate contributor and Wyatt possesses those skills.
Yeah but not sure if still available early 2nd plus he may need a fair bit of seasoning before becoming useful.
I read on HoopsRumors this AM that the Rockets have worked out Santa Clara all-time leading scorer Kevin Foster (6'2" 225). Here's a link to his career stats: http://espn.go.com/mens-college-basketball/player/_/id/41452/kevin-foster I also read that Mark Lyons is impressing in pre-draft workouts.
Would you give up Parsons as part of a deal to acquire a top 10 pick we used to draft Michael Carter-Williams?
parsons is a top 10 player at his position right now with room to grow. Carter-Williams may never be a top ten player at his position
Parsons is a slightly above-average starting SF who makes less than 1 million. You don't trade Parsons unless it's a "sure thing" type of pick. You really don't have that in this draft.
What about Archie goodwin? good back up for Harden since we're not picking up delfino or garcia. -Projected to be drafted with 39th pick. -Combo guard, good size for two and potential in the defensive end. -good scorer but must work on threes (26%) -excel at pick and rolls (imagine with howard and asik) -tons and tons of potential
He seems to be the type of guy you would want at backup PG if Harden and Howard are on your team. Whether he is good enough to stick in NBA is to be seen. He seems worth the risk of a second round pick.
Not good because, with Lin and Beverley currently integral parts of the roster, he'd be a waste of a pick. Very good prospect but would struggle to develop in Houston if one of those PGs isn't moved.
Just go for the best player available, so much can happen before they develop for roster spots and such, very few second rounders play right away. It'd be nice to get another Chandler Parsons but of course a typical 2nd rounder is looking at staying in Europe or D-League most of his 1st and possibly 2nd season.
Brooks won't be back. 3rd PG. Beverley is strong on D but average on O. This guy is good on O and has a pretty good shot. Would probably prefer a veteran like Daniel Gibson for this role, but Canaan has some upside too.
