I guess it's an honor for him, but i'm not sure how big of a deal it is. Some of the young guys in the past haven't really done much in the league.

Joe Johnson has one of the worst contracts in the NBA. Plus, it was given to him in the old CBA. No way Parsons gets max from anyone. I expect he'll get around $10 million a year.

Even David Kahn laughs at your logic.

Either way, Omer Asik is not eligible to play for Team USA. He already competes for the the Turkish National Team, with the most recent in the 2010 World Championships.

Please explain how someone who would never have been an all star or all star caliber player by the time he gets his new contract, get offered a max contract? Tell me one time that has ever happened before?

He could be assuming a dramatic improvement next season.

What the hell is this? Are you comparing Chandler Parsons to 2 stars and Rudy Gay? Chandler will be lucky to reach 10 million. Just because Atlanta **** the bed and gave Joe Johnson that ridiculous contract doesn't mean Morey (or anyone) will even come close to offering something similar to Parsons. You're reaching/trolling.

Oh yeah, since you brought up Joe Johnson, he was a 6 time all star and the 1st option on a playoff team. Parsons has exceeded expectations at this level, but he's no Joe Johnson.

That's still not max money. And I wouldn't be very surprised if some crazy team tries to offer 12 mill per year. Batum got 11 or 12 mill per year i believe.

And Rudy Gay was supposed to develop into an all star, which is why the grizzlies offered him a contract that large.

I hope Parsons doesn't get offered a Max or anywhere close to it as I think he's worth about 9-11M per year.

But hayden does have a point.

Add Rudy Gay to the list. He's getting $16M plus per season. Iggy made 15M last season, Deng and Granger each made 13M.

Someone will be desparate enough to throw him crazy money.

I guess im getting backlash because people dont want to believe it. But Chandler Parsons is a freaking STUD. Hes only improved, and will continue to improve. He works hard, and gives it his all every night, He never gives up, hes a great locker room guy. Say if chandler improves just lets say 15% on most of his stats for next year, how will that not make him contract worthy? What would he produce on a team that would make him #1? Hes no, trevor ariza

My name is Hayden Fisher, mind not belittling me? I never resort to name calling, if you want to discuss, discuss, but calling me Isaiah Thomas, is going to far, I expect a formal apology from you
