2011: LeBron leaves Cleveland, Cavs get the #1 pick 2012: Chris Paul leaves New Orleans, Pelicans get the #1 pick 2013: Dwight Howard leaves Orlando, Magic get the #1 pick It is known. Magic, Bobcats, Kings will be the top 3.
Just give me 3 Eastern Conference teams in the top 3 and I'll be relatively happy. A New Orleans or Minnesota leap into the top 3 would suck.
Yep, I agree with this. I think Orlando is a virtual lock with the top spot, with hopefully Charlotte, Cleveland, and Detroit fighting over the next 2 spots. Minnesota getting a top 3 pick would make that team very intriguing over the next few seasons.
If Cleveland gets the number 1 pick , they'd be pretty damn good. I wonder if they'd take Noel They'll probably get Porter if they aren't the #1 pick
1 in 4 shot for Orlando, no? Not sure I'd call that a virtual lock, but they certainly have better odds than anyone else. Especially now that David Kahn isn't making the selection. I definitely don't want Minnesota in there. Would it ever, but I've gotten accustomed to the 12, 13, 14 spots having no shot. I'm sure that will come back to bite me.
I hope Orlando doesn't get it. I'm all rooting for the Charlotte Hornets, I feel bad for that franchise they deserve more than stupid Orlando.
Yeah, Orlando has a solid team in place, even though their record doesn't show it. Charlotte NEEDS a guy like Noel. Orlando has Vucevic, Harris, Afflalo, Harkless and Nicholson. Bright young future for them. Charlotte has Biyombo and Mullens at the 5 though, iirc. Unless the two play different positions, Noel is going to create a logjam at the C. Still not an excuse to not grab Noel, but just food for thought.
Orlando has the best odds. Who would care if they won it? I personally am hoping for Charlotte, Phoenix, and then my surprise leap would be the Wizards.
Don't forget Tobias Harris who they duped stupid Milwaukee for, in exchange they pretty much got J.J. Reddick as a 2 month rental.
Charlotte with Noels would have a decent frontcourt to build on going forward. Noels Biyombo MKG (Mullens has some strong towel game similar to Tony Allen.)
