blowing up the team for the barkley trade was one of the dumbest moves in history. even worse than those ugly ass blue jerseys.

Agree to disagree... Barkley was a monster for us (arguably our best player that season), and without him we would have been destroyed by Seattle again, and again and again...

It would have been nice to keep one of those PG's though...

Yeah, people forget that at the time, getting revenge on Seattle was priority one. Didn't like the Shawn Kemp (when he was not fat) vs Horry matchup. We needed a better rebounder and a second low post presence.

Also, when we got Barkley, our appearance on national TV like quadrupled.
That season with Barkley was very exciting and we were favorites to go to the Finals.

Losing Cassell was tough, we knew that guy was special and starter material.

Barkley was a lazy player who was a big time hypocrite.

For him to blast Drexler and Hakeem for being "contempt" with their championships and not working hard enough was despicable.

Newb you don't know crap about Kenny.

Read this thread, learn about Clutch City. It's better than New York.

Rockets and dream have been getting a TON of love from Kenny and the guys on inside ever since the playoffs began. More than any other team.

That was MESSED up by Charles telling Kenny he probably would've been cut. That is some salty ass towards a classy guy like Kenny. I like Charles but man for a guy that never won a ring and choked multiple times he shouldn't be able to say that to one of the guys responsible for pulling out down 1-3 against him.

Yeah, Barkley really crossed the line and pissed Kenny off by saying he would have been cut if he didn't play with Dream. That was harsh and not true. I would have been pissed too :)

I couldn't believe he actually said that at first. I'm surprised at how well Kenny kept talking and keeping his composure. And then "You were cut at the end" was just stupid. Obviously because he was way too old to play and it was his 11th year in the league.

Shaq should have jumped in and called him out for his **** but it was clear Charles was down to his last bone and being pathetic trying to undermine Kenny like that.

Wow, that was great speech by Kenny about the rockets cluch city team and how they respected dream being Muslim and Vernon going out all night.

This brought a tear to my eye and proves the clutch city is righteous and forever in our hearts
