Sucks for the Thunder and Westbrook, but potentially great for the Rockets. I am not one of those who whine about "winning fairly" and "playing the best competition." I root for the team to win not watch a gentleman's match. People can call me unsportsmanlike or what not, but I honestly could not care less about the luck or unluckiness of the other time. Now don't confuse this with me actually rooting for opponents to get injured, but at the same time I wholly encourage Rockets to take this opportunity and pounce.

Merely recognizing the facts. OKC is a more talented team even without Westbrook and, not trivially, they are already up 2-0. As Jonathan Feigen tweeted, the casinos give OKC 7-1 odds on winning the title after the Westbrook injury and give the Rockets 150-1 odds.

As for the trade, again I was merely being objective:

I said Robinson was terrible based on objective data at the time of the trade. People cried out "No, he was just in a poisonous environment in Sacramento!" Then Robinson turns out to be just as terrible as a Rocket, struggling with the same things as he did back in Sacramento (most alarmingly, he can't finish around the basket) and losing his rotation spot in no time.

While I was glad that DMo & Co. got their chances, I worried that the rookie PFs on the roster were too raw and it was a mistake not to keep at least one of the rotation PFs. Turns out I was correct. The team tried out numerous PFs after the Patterson and Morris trades and then decided that in order to be competitive, they couldn't play any of the PFs at the 4 and instead went small to improve spacing (would be nice to have one actual PF who can also hit a jump shot with some degree of reliability).

Did the NBA data lower Robinson's numbers due to "depression? Did McHale, Sampson, Finch, Bickerstaff & Co. suffer from "depression" in making their rotation decisions?

Not being a Pollyanna around here is apparently a cause for scorn, but whatever.

LMAO. And Thunder fans appreciate what Perkins did in clutch time. And you calling it good sportsmanship? Really then, GTFO.

Just read their forum, there is funny things. They say Parsons aniway won't get in time to Sefo. But c'mon, Perkins been holding hand for about 2-3sec, even I could be in time lol

OMGGGGGGGG .... WOW THIS IS JUST FREAKISHLY SHOCKING....... NOT ONLY FOR THE THUNDER BUT FOR THE REST OF THE NBA BECAUSE NOW THE HEAT ARE 100% CONFIRMED TO WIN THE TITLE WITHOUT A SINGLE HITCH...

OMG THIS IS GONNA BE CRAZY..... I NEVER WISH INJURY ON SOMEONE ON THE OPPOSINT TEAM OR ANYONE IN SPORTS FOR THAT MATTER BUT THIS IS JUST CRAZY.... THIS IS A MASSIVE OPPORTUNITY OF THE ROCKETS TO ADVANCE TO THE 2ND ROUND

THIS IS JUST CRAZY. FEEL BAD FOR THE THUNDER. I WOULDN'T HAVE MINDED THAT THE THUNDER SWEEP US IN THE SERIES OR WHATEVER AS LONG AS THEY GIVE THE HEAT A SERIOUS CHALLENGE FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP...

DAMN MAN A SECOND ROUND ENTRY FOR THE ROCKETS, IF PUT IN PERSPECTIVE, IS WORTH NEARLY NOTHING COMPARED TO THE POTENTIAL DETHRONING OF THE HEAT AND AN EXCITING NBA FINALS..

    BAD NEWS ALL ROUND

    This

Most posters do not take him srsly. His attempt at being funny is just played out. No one likes to be around that guy who tries too hard; it's annoying.

As I noted (via Jonathan Feigen's tweets): After the injury, odds makers give OKC as 7-1 odds to win the title and give HOU 150-1 odds. The perception of most people who put money on NBA games appears to be that OKC is a better team even after the injury.

I hope that the Rockets beat OKC, but recognize that it will be hard for them to do even without Westbrook.

I laughed when I read those posts. It's irrelevant bc Perkins fouled Parsons and they were in the penalty. His ability to contest the shot is a non-factor. That non-call was a five point swing.

maybe you should interview for a GM position, or better yet just buy your own franchise. and also, stop wasting your time posting here since we're all clearly not on your bball anal-ytical levels. we'll miss you ;)

I don't understand people saying Bev should be suspended. It was not intentional and it didn't seem to be a hard bump if you watch the replay. WB played the second half just fine

Westbrook is their primary ball carrier, their best ball pressure defender and their primary offensive creator.

Do you think Durant is going to take 50 shots?

No, you should never wish an injury on any player. Guess you are into it way too deep.

San Antonio were never going to get out of the west vs okc, but they're much more likely to beat Miami than OKC is, especially since they seem to be getting healthier.

What was your intention on joining this public forum that is dominated by rockets fans? Judging by the majority of your post, it seem like you're here to defend and honor your OKC. Look, you have a better chance of seeing a Gnome riding a midget unicorn. Then trying to get people from a rocket community, to agree with things you say. You’re not here to discuss basketball in the sense of the game itself. You’re here as a Bias fan, claiming to want an intelligent discussion, in a forum that is favored of the rockets. Of course there's going be harsh words deployed, and many disagreements, but that's make conversation interesting, if you have an open view. which you don't.

I still wouldn't relax with a player like Durant on their team but that is still a huge blow to the Thunder.

Impressive math for a person from OKC. This is the playoffs, you are enemy for the time being. I'm sorry Fussy got injured but it opens an opportunity for my team and this forum doesn't need you in here trying to get our pity. I'm rooting for Fisher to look like the worst PG in the league. I'm rooting for Durant to shoot 5%. I'm rooting for the Rockets and so is this forum, if you don't like it come back after the series.

They'll go after Lin's chest. Look for a lot of head shots in the lane.
