What team do you think have a chance in upsetting the Miami Heat this season. They are the hottest teams in the NBA winning 27 in a row and 35-2 in their last 37 games. These jokers have picked up their defensive intensity and looks even stronger on the offensive side. They look even hungrier than last season, especially the King himself. These are my teams that I think have a chance in upsetting the Heat this post season. Pacers, Spurs or Thunder..
Thunder won't, the Heat match up too well with them. Pacers don't have enough firepower to win a 7 game series with them. Memphis I think can matchup wise, but they won't make it to the finals. If Melo gets hot MAYBE the Knicks can, and I mean ridiculously hot. (35ppg, 50%+ shooting for the series, like he did during the winning streak). It helps that they have Jkidd and Chandler who did it before, so a little bit of confidence is always nice. Spurs are a bad matchup for Miami, that is about it. I think in the end Miami will coast to another title.
Knicks/pacers in the east but it'll take team clicking on all cylinders. Memphis out the west. That's why I hope they can shake the Clips.
I really think Indiana can... they have decent interior play with Hibbert and West and I like the George/Stephenson defensive matchups on James/Wade better than Miami's big men on Hibbert/West. Plus I think they have a solid bench that hustles. So I give Indiana a 20-25% chance in a 7 game series.
Regular season against heat 3-1 new york 2-2 indy 2-2 chicago so basically defensive minded teams who can hit the three ball.
Though they probably wouldn't, I believe the Nuggets have the best chance of beating the Heat in a series. Pacers are done and nobody else in the East has any chance at all. The EC playoffs are nothing more than a coronation.
Only injuries can derail the Heat at this point. The gap between them and the next best team in the NBA is as large its been since the late 90s Bulls.
The clippers just have the grizzlies number. Honestly, I think the grizzlies need to shed Zach Randolph for a guy like ersan ilyasova, which would help a whole lot because Zach just isn't the same player as we was 2 years ago. We need a guy that can hit the 3 along with Bayless and we'll be straight.
I think any of the top 5 teams in the West could defeat the Heat in a 7-game series. The problem is they all beat each other up before they get to the Finals, whereas the Heat have a relatively easy ride. New York is the only team in the East that could make things interesting, but I just don't see them knocking off Miami.
Hmm don't necessarily agree. The West is a lot stronger sure but the East is a lot more physical and play grueling defense. Teams like Indiana and the Bulls will beat you up. Not to mention Miami actually has a lot of a harder time against East teams as compared to West teams. They have a losing record against the Knicks and don't fare too well against the Pacers, Bulls, or even a healthy Celtics team(with no Rondo). Its not necessarily how good a team is. Matchups matter.
