Nothing big but just thought this was a nice positive tweet to remind ourselves that this team is young and has a bright future. Keep your head up Clutchfans. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>NBA scout went on to praise Rockets: "No one has more assets or is younger -- and they're already winning."</p>— Sam Amico (@SamAmicoFSO) <a href="https://twitter.com/SamAmicoFSO/status/310963781574471683">March 11, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
LerBon, Paul, or DHo.... it's only a matter of time. Paul/JLin Harden/Anderson Parson/Del3 LerBon/TRob Asik/Dmo Or maybe just one of them is good enough.
Obviously a Rockets scout from his use of the word "asset." That said, there's no better time to sell high than now. Winning team, still young, fast pace means better stats. Now all we need is a disgruntled star, Love, Howard, whoever, in the offseason and Morey's in business.
I'd prefer Denver. Change either Ty Lawson or Igoudala for Harden and they easily have more assets. Sorry.
Question. can we go for both love and howard? Or will cap not allow it? its crazy to think both can be on same team! i would give up asik for K.Love in a heartbeat in a trade
Dumb post is dumb. "I'd prefer Miami. Change either Shane Battier or Norris Cole for Harden and they easily have more assets. Sorry."
If all your GM does is flip to increase assets, I would hope we have a lot of assets. Unfortunately, the name of the game is wins and not assets. If we can't translate that into playoff victories at some point then it's just noise.
Ty Lawson is emerging as a top point guard and the best player on the Nuggets. A key piece in the Nuggets future. If you really aren't a fan of the NBA I can make it easier for you and switch both Iggy and Lawson for Harden and the Nuggets would still have better assets than the Rockets. y u guys gotta be so mean
thats great but you also need to have an eye for chemistry and on court intangibles that don't show up in the analytics of things. As Comets pointed out, its wins and playoff successes that count.
Yes. Sign Dwight Howard(requires waving a lot of our less players like Delfino), then trade Asik/Parsons/spare-salaries for Love. Since Love is under contract, you can trade for him with roughly 2/3 of his salary.
One 23yr old star(potential superstar?) in 3 years of rebuilding by Morey. That's not good enough for you? FWIW, the 1-5 picks of the past 3 drafts: Turner, Favors, Cousins, Welsey Johnson, Irving Derrick Williams, Kanter, Tristan Thompson, Valancious, Anthony Davis, MKG, Beal, Waiters, Thomas Robinson. That's what, 1 Harden's equal in Irving and one potential Harden's equal in Davis? Both #1 overall picks too.
Superstars don't bring wins and championships though. Denver doesn't have a superstar, or Harden, but they do have a better record than the Rockets, better chance at making it pass the 1st round than the Rockets this season and their future is set just as well as the Rockets. The Nuggets can be just as good as the Rockets can be in 2015. Maybe better. Hopefully they don't.
