I don't think that is even close to what DM has done. Nash is old, Dwight isn't locked up and the lakers aren't set for the future.
I agree with the following: 1. Playoff spot - GM of the year for Daryl 2. 2nd round - McFail coach of the year 3. Finals - Harden MVP (Harden is playing great, but there are just so many pieces to this team.)
This is a lock for Morey, how could it not be? He blew up the team from last year, only Parsons remain (most valuable asset-low pay) and this year they are better than last year which is unheard of. He made Harden a superstar, Asik, most improved NBA player and Lin, pointing the best NBA scoring team. And dealing with R.White with diginity, even though the player doesn't deserve it. The closest competitor is NY Knicks (by signing Kidd and Felton, letting Fields and Lin walk with money for the future) then the Lakers (for not hiring P.Jackson-major mistake).
HArden being MVP would be very bad for the Rockets. Wish people would stop suggesting it or chanting it at games.
With minor moves that have had a huge impact like Delfino, Beverley Getting space for DMO Getting the top 5 pick for Patterson, Cole and TD. Reunited the Morris twins! (haha) I mean, not only was he the most active GM, but also our off season turned us from a mediocre team that was looking to stay that way, to one of the brightest futures in the whole NBA WHILE making the playoffs as the youngest to do it in NBA history -- making it in 6th place. Plus cap space. The list goes on and on.
R.C. Buford should win it. If the Rockets squeeze into the playoffs, Morey should be up for serious consideration. If Denver makes it past the 2nd round, they should get it (for their Igoudala trade), and they're on a great run right now that they're done with the super tough part of their schedule. If Memphis makes it past the 2nd round, Wallace/Hollinger should be up for consideration. If they don't, one of them should be fired. The Rudy Gay trade was a total Hollinger stat-geek move. Stat gurus don't like Gay but he's respected by other players. They matched up well against Miami and OKC early season (with wins) when they had Gay. They haven't faired so well without him. They claimed they improved their team, but they also could have let their starting 5 ride it out in the playoffs, and traded Gay in the off-season (Toronto wanted Gay bad). They might never get a better chance to beat OKC/Miami again.
keep in mind the award discussed is for executive of the year .. as in which team THIS season made moves that were considered the best... what exactly did the ... clippers and the spurs add this year? pacers resigned hibbert, that qualifies them for this??? clippers signed a back up shooting guard in crawford?? knicks signed felton?? thunder traded harden?? how are those moves worthy of exec of the year?
ummm you do realize that the winner will be announced well before second round of playoffs start right?
Parsons wasn't Drafted this year but he has turned into the best value in the league. Does that count towards this year's recognition?

History is long. The average age of the 1976-77 Portland Trail Blazers was 24.2, who won the NBA title. Current average age of the Rockets? I do not have the number. But at the start of the season in October, the average age of the Rockets was 23.98. Now four months have passed. The average age should be around 24.4 now, if not over, with the addition of Brooks. No history at all.
Does Royce White technically count? If so, it is 24.1. If not, sorry for the misleading information and thank you for the correction!
