Player B is Moss...Good thing i have google as well...and a pass blocking WR doesnt matter if the Texans cant muster more than 3 yds per attempt on the ground from the line of scrimmage...You have to ask one self, can teams gamble on having Randy Moss and Andre Johnson single covered most of the game...And think of the effectiveness it would have not only on the run game, but for our TE's who could have career years...Randy Moss might not be the same player, but he is better than any other WR we have...And when Moss is targeted...he produces yards...15.5 avg... And when comparing stats...do it with a fair comparison... Michael Crabtree 85 rec 127targets 1105 yDS 13.0 AVG 9 TD Vernon Davis 41 rec 61targets 548YDS 13.4AVG 5TD Mario Manningham 42rec 57targets 449YDS 10.7AVG 1TD Randy Moss 28rec 51targets 434YDS 15.5AVG 3TD vs Andre Johnson 112 REC 164 targets 1598YDS 14.3AVG 4TDs Owen Daniels 62 REC 103 targets 716YDS 11.5AVG 6TDS Kevin Walter 41REC 68targets 518 YDS 12.6AVG 2TDs James Casey 34REC 45targets 330YDS 9.7AVG 3TDs San Francisco heavy read/option Run offense Houston heavy play action offense The addition of a player like Moss only keeps DC a bit more honest...Imagine how much more effective Arian would be if he only had to go up routinely against an 7 man front... We dont really need a burner down the field...but someone that can go up and get passes... PS. The Niners only paid Moss 1.75 mil base salary(2.5 against the cap)...the Texans paid 3.5 mil (4.5 mil against the cap) for Walters...Moss is a cheaper option and does pretty much the same thing that Walter could do, however would command a bit more attention...
Nnamdi Asomugha? Howard Eskin reporting Eagles are going to release him. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Bad tweet. I jumped the gun on Nnamdi Asomugha. <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23eagles">#eagles</a> not releasing him 2day. But don't worry it will happen. <a href="https://twitter.com/search/%23fox29">#fox29</a> bleep happens</p>— Howard Eskin (@howardeskin) <a href="https://twitter.com/howardeskin/status/309332839982325760">March 6, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
LOL, I remember one of the older posters commenting on how bad a source Eskin was for breaking news and now this. Hilarious.
And they're letting him walk. He's a bad apple who's best days were years and years ago. The Texans cannot and should not waste minimal resources on has-beens. Randy Moss doesn't make this a better team.
Oh I believe him, but that's not much of "breaking news". I coulda told you that and passed it off as "breaking" if that were the case. And that he actually permaturely tweeted the "release" is what I'm actually laughing at.
Still..wouldn't be surprised to see Nnamdi released. Amazing how he went from the best to sometimes average to above average at best
The Texans need to go after Danny Amendola,... He has the potential to become Wes Welker type of Receiver... I think hes from the Woodlands Texas....
^ He will probably get a pretty decent contract that would be too rich for the texans blood. I also don't think he would be worth it dollar wise. He's a solid guy but i wonder how much of his year was just Bradford completely locking into the guy. Plus, he isn't a big deep threat that can open up the field.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Chiefs are releasing RT Eric Winston, per league source.</p>— ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk) <a href="https://twitter.com/ProFootballTalk/status/309470912141484032">March 7, 2013</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Damn, Briesel had to reconstruct his contract, so it went down from four million to a little over one million. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...money-by-restructuring-mike-brisiel-contract/ I was about to say bring back both Briesel and Winston back.
<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>Just wanted to confirm that I have been released. A guy out of Arkansas who I like. He's a good defender, always, seems to deflect passes. His name is Patrick Beverly. He's 6'1, 185. Looks pretty fast.
interesting about winston. Doubt he comes back, but wouldn't be opposed to it if it were on the cheap, however that's unlikely.
