    Saw Lincoln tonight.

    9 out of 10. A great story...great acting. Deducting a point for 2 reasons.

    One, it drags at times.
Two, there were some minor inaccuracies in the movie that bugged me.

FAR OVERRRRR, THE MISTY MOUNTAIN COLD...

I guess whoever watched The Hobbit ends up humming that tune all the way back home. I thought it was good and it made me want to watch the LOTR trilogy again.

Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring - 7.5-8/10

Never got around to seeing the LOTR trilogy simply because I absolutely despise the fantasy genre, so it never appealed to me, despite the acclaim it's received. However, I was sick tonight, so I had a lot of time on my hands and figured what the heck. Ended up living up to the hype, even though the length was absolutely brutal. Glad I watched it and look forward to the 2nd and 3rd movies.

    Magic Mike - 6.5/10

I went into it with low expectations, but it really wasn't a bad movie at all.

    Django Unchained - 9.4/10
Enjoyed every aspect of this movie and might be my favorite QT movie.

    Zero Dark Thirty - 6.0/10
Pretty average, nothing unique or groundbreaking. It felt like a documentary in movie form. Not to mention, is was sooooo slow. Only a single character was focused on and she wasn't very well developed. Not a huge fan of Hurt Locker, but that was better than this for me.

Beast of the Southern Wild - 9.3/10
I really loved this movie, I hope the little girl wins best actress, she deserves it.

This movie is seriously overrated IMO. 7/10. Hushpuppy has no business being nominated for Best Actress. A purely sentimental selection.

    The Last Stand

Fun, mindless action romp and a nice return for Arnold.

Really good movie, though pretty sad. Gives a light-hearted look at cancer, and I would highly recommend. Joseph Gordon Levitt is the man.

Compliance - Disturbing little story. It seems really hard to believe but is pretty accurate to what happened in the real life. Really strong performances by Ann Dowd and Dreama Walker. - B+

    L.A. Confidential - 8.5 out of 10

Watched it for 1st time since it came out, and barely remembered any of it.

Great movie, marred by an unnecessary and unrealistic popcorn action flick shoot-em-up scene. Bordered on perfection aside from that.

So I finally saw Juno. I really enjoyed it. I thought the writing was clever, Emma Page was adorable with a little raw streak to her.

If I had to ding it I would do so for the blatant selling of the Sonic Youth version of Superstar. I felt like I was watching that ad in Garden State for The Shins. No thanks. Still really enjoyed the film. Bonus 1/2 point goes to Juno having a Bad Religion crossbuster in her locker.

    8.5/10
