Yikes, Harden 7-34 from 3pt land in the last 4 games. Tough to win when the backcourt can't shoot for crap from behind the arc.

 

Look on the bright side: we had a chance to win against a team at home, that had referees trying to give them the win all game long, who are on a roll, who are experienced all the while having bad nights for about everybody but Beverley. We didn't deserve to win this game though. What I hate more than losing is rolling over and nobody was ready for this game on an emotional, toughness, playoff / fighting spirit type battle. We're still a pussified team and it needs to change.

Lin willed us back in the game by going to the hole. It was good to see that. he needs to do it more often.

We have to do better as a team finishing around the rim. And we have to make our foul shots.

 

His 3 gets better when he has confidence. However, I really hope he starts shooting like 300 shots a day. Once his jumper becomes more accurate, he'll be really good, IMO. Toney Parker also didn't have the accurate jumper he has now when he first came into the league. Lin is still practically a rookie. Hopefully in time it will improve.

If not for the 2 missed FTs by Lin and that stupid ref call on Lin's good charge, we would have already closed this game.

Im not even mad.

 

Opening the rotation and having discipline with respect to player minutes is very necessary right now. At some point, you have to be concerned about wearing guys down to the point of injury.

Build them up. You don't just run the full marathon on your first trial run.

This is something Coach Popovic is really good at: developing his bench and coaching to win multiple games not just the one right now at any costs.

 

3. Harden should've realized he was struggling with shots and stopped pressing. He's a great playmaker; could have put that skills to good use when his shots weren't falling.

One thing for sure: that was not easy pass to catch. He also could have taken a 3. But if you have to blame anyone for the loss, it should be Harden and Mac.

 

Guys, open your eyes. Why did Lin have a big fourth quarter? HARDEN-LIN PnR. Please, Lin scored on almost EVERY single PnR during that stretch.

 

That's total BS. Lin can do that whenever he wants, he doesn't need the coach's permission to take over a game.

Harden's D was great down the stretch tonight, and he grabbed 8 boards and dished out 7 assists. I'd say he did do other things. He also got to the line, if this is Harden's worst game so far, then I'll ****ing take it. 95% of the time Harden makes those easy layups.
