    Yeah, I think the slow decline started in 1993 (around the time the Chronic was released).

    Actually that was popular enough that it saved us from any risk of another Hammer, Van Winkle, Milli Vanilli and a lot of other techno-rap that was still more commercially viable at the time. Kind of like when Wesley Snipes was more marketable than Denzel, because black dignity wasn't a genre yet.
