I just watched a Discovery Channel piece on Houston, which was made by a crew from Quebec. It was a very nice summary of the city and did a lot to dispel negative stereotypes. My favorite part was when the cute Quebecois narrator asked what made Houston different than other cities in Texas, the reply was "Dallas is a Texas city. Houston is an international city." It was also pretty cool that the narrator's sister lived in Houston 10 years and worked at NASA. I'd post a link to the torrent, but I'm guessing it's not hard to find.
Is this something you can watch on demand or aired on TV or just via torrents? I would look but I am at work
It apparently aired last April. I found the whole episode guide. I'm downloading the Tel Aviv one now...
just google the title when you get home, there are pages of results(most of them torrents), but some of them appear to be direct downloads. Did a search at discovery.com, and nothing came up, so I guess downloading is probably your only option.(short of buying the DVD if there is one, which I assume there is)
It might have only aired on Discovery Canada or something. I just found it while looking for documentaries about Texas to show my bandmates who will be in Texas in March for SXSW and some shows in Houston and Corpus. They have no idea what to expect and I wanted something to show them other than the Townes Van Zandt movie I have on DVD.
It's cool Deji, thanks for posting about it...I would have probably never heard of it if you didnt. Ill catch it later after I get off work, my connection out here isnt good enough to bother d/l anything that big.
