6 seasons, acquiring one all star caliber player using tons of 1st round picks....

How is that a hard thing to do?

    I don't get it.

Ask the Kings or Warriors. They'll tell you.

I didn't know all-star caliber players grew on trees.

With late lottery picks, and 2nd round picks... yes its an extremely hard to do. Just go away.

Morey turned broken down stars and marginal starters into a fully revitalized roster with young talent and a great cap number going into next season.

You can't ever really fault a guy for what he does in the draft after the lottery. Maybe 10% of the guys taken after the lottery turn into starters. Much less likely to find a legit stud.

Nobody thought he had a prayer of landing Asik and Lin. He got them both done by using advanced knowledge of the contract structure.

He shipped off a pansy shooting guard and a young unknown and an acquired draft pick for arguably the 3rd best SG in the league who is only 23 years old.

It took a while, but I finally feel he has this franchise on track again.

I'd rather have a guy willing to take risks and swing for the fences then another Carroll Dawson, stupidly giving big contract extensions to guys who had no business making that much.

Considering Morey's original 5yr plan was a title with Yao and TMac that was cut short, he is not on his original 6yr plan now is he?

This is like his 2yr of his new 5yr plan.

I got tired of waiting for my microwave to heat up my food, so I threw it away.

    So..

What heats food up faster than a microwave?

    Anyone?

One all star caliber player or a 23 year old whose advanced statistics suggest he may be the best SG in the league within a couple years?

    I'd say next to impossible.

Yeah why hasn't he netted us Lebron?

uh, he wasn't able to acquire a 3rd all star when he already had two -- Yao and TMac. You guys make it sound like we've been rebuilding for 6 years. That's a completely disingenuous argument.

That move got us Ron Artest......

He then traded Ariza for Courtney Lee........

How do you know he is not coming over? He cost us virtually nothing.

He was signed as a bench warmer....

He was signed as a bench warmer....

    Adelman wanted Miller....

Really? He, like most players drafted at his position did not make it.... this is really the best you can come up with?

I didnt't realize 16 ppg 5.3 rebs 3.2 asst was considered a "beasting" stat line these days....

That has to put Harden in Godly status with a 24.7 ppg 4.4 reb 5.6 asst line, whom btw Morey just traded for out of practically nowhere.

Just happy that I can go out and buy a jersey for a Rocket player that's going to be around for awhile (hoping that's going to be around). I could never say that in the last few years.

#1) Batum trade helped net us Ron Artest and get us one win from the WCFs.
#2) Traded Ariza for Courtney Lee
#3) Llull may or may not come, but it only Les Alexander loses.
#4) Andersen did cost us a 2nd round pick, though we traded him for another 2nd round pick.
#5) Pops was signed to a minimum non-guaranteed deal
#6) We traded Miller as part of the package to get DMo
#7) Once again only Les Alexander was out anything.

Before blowing up last year's squad & getting James Harden, I would've been on board. But now that he's chosen a definitive direction let him see it through.

    really?

    Let's count the west:

Lakers, Thunders, Grizzlies, Spurs, Dallas, TWolves, Blazers, Clippers, Suns, Warriors, Hornets, Jazz, Nuggets all had their all star caliber players some time in recent 6 years.

It is more like: if you could not get an all star caliber player in 6 years, that's next to impossible.
