This. Felton has a cheap contract, but that's his fault.

As of right now Felton might be better, but he also has years of experience over Lin. He also tried to prove something last night (even though he claimed he wouldn't) and got embarrassed. Stats wise Felton might have played better, but I thought Lin was better in terms of keeping with the flow of the game and running the offense. A lot of times Felton just dumped the ball to Melo.

One thing Lin is definitely better at is his work ethic. For some reason, Felton only likes to play under the spotlight in NY. Stick him in a team that he doesn't want to be in and he beomes a crybaby/sore loser. This guy admitted he liked to come into the season out of shape.

In fairness, Felton thought the reporter was talking about a pizza eating contest and not basketball.

Maybe but I don't see Felton as being that much more of an upgrade. He's better in certain areas but worse in others.

Lin, an undrafted player, had a much bigger effect on the game last night than Felton, a lottery pick. Lin with the big positive +/-.

He's better in ALL offensive categories. Can you imagine if Lin shoots 45% from the field and on 3s and able to get to and finish around the rim?

We are on the same page i would totally prefer Lin over Felton anyday.

Just saying Felton is currently better than Lin.

But would Lin makes so much more sense for the rockets going forward. Both teams got what they needed. Lin a young pg to develop going fwd and knicks who are looking to win now

Hmm asts can be debatable. Felton has avg just one more ast while playing with better scorers.

Agree that Felton is better offensively right now, but I think Lin would average more assists if he was playing with a team like the Knicks. Felton also has a higher usage rate than Lin does.

Well outside of Melo, Felton is their 2nd best shot creator/offensive player. It's expected for him to have a high usage rate.

I think you have seen how Lin played with Melo last year.

Harden is basically tied with Melo in league scoring. And we are basically tied with NY in terms of overall team scoring.

Point is, if you watch the Knicks, Felton is their 2nd best offensive player. If Melo doesn't have it, Felton is 2nd in line.

People used the same small sample size to generate Linsanity. Were they wrong?

Don't speak of how the Knicks played without even watching their games. When Lin was playing with Melo under D'Antoni, Melo's fg% was the same as Lin's is right now. Under Woodson, they were blowing teams out and going 6-1 TOGETHER. They played less than 20 games together-not enough to determine they couldn't play together. Who knows how they would be playing if Lin were on the Knicks team this year.

WHAT? Linsanity started on 2/4. Melo came back from his injury on 2/20. Melo + Lin together had an 8-9 record (including a 6 game losing streak from 3/4-3/12). Melo never wanted to play with Lin. Nobody on the Knicks' roster this offseason publicly came out to support resigning Lin. Not ONE player.

Thanks for disregarding everything in my last post and posting words that don't add anything to your argument.

    Raymond Felton's career #s of 545 games: 13.5 points, 6.7 assists, 41.3% fg.

So? Kevin Johnson career number 19.3/9.1, you would take him over Lin right now?

You kept shifting the argument, stop trying too hard mate. Small sample size is small sample size no matter how you twist it.

Lin hopefully is coming out of his funk...just wait, he was great in NY...he could simply take over a game and did.....he can still do this....give it time
