We'll have to wait to see how the party as a whole views this election and what they blame for the loss. But some are already saying Romney wasn't conservative enough. Same reason they gave for McCain losing 4 years ago. Some group within the party needs to fight back against this line of thinking.
Funny how this chart left out Obama, the man who took this country to more debt than it has ever seen before. But other than that...GREAT POST!
I sincerely think that Romney is his own worst enemy. This shouldve been an easy election to win but the real Romney kept sneaking out. I wouldve voted for Ryan maybe but there was no way that Romney should be in charge of this country. I voted for Obama and will take my chances on the next republican candidate maybe.
Pay your damn taxes or face a higher debt. Your choice. We don't live in fairytale land where we can enjoy a flourishing infrastructure without paying for it.
So was Kerry, but his reputation is tarnished. Besides, Republicans have superior candidates available. The best thing about this election is the Republican party will have to reform that platform to be more inclusive of minorities. I actually like Jeb Bush, Marco Rubio and Chris Christie. I think they will be the new faces of a more moderate and reasonable Republican party. I hope that Republicans move in this direction instead of doubling down (it's troubling that we already have Republicans saying that Romney wasn't conservative enough.) Here's to hoping for Cuomo vs. Jeb Bush in 2016. Two excellent candidates that will bring real issues to the forefront.
I look forward to seeing what Obama has in store for the next 4 years. His first 4 were so successful.
If he does, he's an even bigger fool than he's already shown himself to be. Romney has never been loved by his own party, or trusted by a large number of Republicans. He has no chance at all of winning the nomination in 2016. None. Not in my opinion. Christie and Ryan, among others, will be fighting for the nomination.
I liked when he promised to decrease deficits in 2008. Doesn't look like he's going to be keeping that promise and it bothers me.
Does Romney know that even if he were somehow able to pull out Ohio, he still loses? Is he going to contest one of the other states too?
They are really trying to hammer home Republicans win of the Popular Vote and the difference is dwindling... Edit: Republicans lost the lead.
