We would be 3-0 of we had Lowry or Dragic instead of Lin

You live in some seriouse fantasy land. Lillard if isnt better now will be miles better in a year or two. i personally think he is better now.

painful lost - almost had it .

got a question - cause i am a basketball noob.
After Jlin scored. shouldn't they have just protected the prerimeter and let them score a 2 and then simpily just run out the clock?

I was thinking the same thing but was pleasantly surprised by Morris' contribution.

Should have put T Jones on LA. Patterson had some timely buckets, but still can't rebound well enough and he shot way too much. Morris also should have played more with the starters.

not Lowry's fault. They lost close games to two pretty much guaranteed playoff teams.
And they were close only because Lowry played out of his mind.

Harden should take the final shot, but Lin is too passive and too happy to give it to Harden and just get out of his way. We didn't pay him all that money to replace Shane Battier. He needs to want the ball when Harden is off.

I think the real issue was the coaching by McHale. If he was Phil Jackson, there would've been a stop, probably did some trick to let Harden pass to Lin or vice versaand win the game. McHale is incompetent, the lack of calling a time out on the last 20 seconds shows it.

I've been clowning on Douglas, but he did play some pressure defense tonight.

Now, we have 4 days to rest. A win against Denver will keep me in good spirit.

I can't stop laughing at that.

Close game. Portland played good defense all night. Shots just weren't falling for us even off the backboard. Harden probably needs an IV right now. Well earned day off coming.

Bench needs to get better too. They played better today, but the previous two games tired out the starters esp Harden

We had the game. People blame mchale. I blame asik. Hit the WIDE OPEN layup and you win.

    Starters were completely gassed.

Lucky it even went to OT given how many missed layups there were.

Seriously, people ragging on Lin/Harden/Asik need to look hard at all the missed shots.

And Lin defended Lillard for vast majority of the game just fine. He totally ran out of steam by the time they hit OT, but so did Asik and Harden. All 3 played over 40 minutes after clocking 40+ minutes for the 2 previous games.

And really, did anyone expect the Rockets to go 82-0?

Bright spots... Aldrich looking to be a nice back up C. Morris was looking okay, but missed more than a few shots.

Harden despite his high points was just crazy cold.

Yah, there were some questionable ref calls, but it happens.

    The team will be fine.

On the positive side, Marcus Morris continues to impress. When Harden was missing his shots, we should have trotted out Morris in place of Parsons

Toney Douglas got some of his confidence back when he played a good defensive game. Cole Aldrich showed signs of life.

I thought at end of reg, Lin should have taken the last shot since he had just made an -and 1 the previous play. I also thought on the play where Matthews hit his 3, Harden should have known to give up the 2 with Aldridge rather than any 3 pt attempt.

Growth pains ... we'll have more of these moments this season

Harden was gassed. He was missing layups. Lin's a proven game ender - the alleyoop wasnt the last shot. It didn't lose a game.

We lost in overtime - our guys were all gasses by then and Trailblazers caught on fire.

The last shot was Harden's held it and burned down the clock and was stopped. End of story.

This is a game we really should have won though. Asik just can't keep missing point blank layups. Smfh,
