It's a long season. They're still trying to fit in a few new pieces, get healthy and on the same page. Not trying to make excuses for them, I've always disliked the Lakers but remember, Dallas started 0-4 in 2006-07 and won 67 games and the next year we started 15-17 before going on a 31-3 run, including a 22-game win streak. Lots of ball to play.
Lots of games to play but nothing wrong with enjoying some early misery for the Lakers. I for one love it!:grin:
Agree with the OP. Lakers as just too lucky as a franchise to ever be bad. Give it 15 games, and I bet that they will have a positive record.
Pretty much. Once they get their s*** together, the rest of the league will get what's coming to them
lol Laker fans being all insecure. Nobody's blowing this up...If it were Miami y'all would be crazy. For the record, I'm a casual Laker fan. But it's obvious there's glaring issues that on court chemistry won't fix. -Age -Bench -Health (Hill and Nash) .... -Mike -Brown Seriously for the love of good basketball the Lakers need to get Jerry Sloan asap. Run pick and roll w/ Howard and Nash to the death a la Stockton/Malone, and they'll be fine.
old, slow, no bench, no defense. just like year. replacing Howard for Bynum and subtracting Barnes and adding Jameson. I don't think so.
my thoughts on the lakers was they'd be about 24-17 by mid season and go about 34-7 on the run home. It's not just the chemistry, its that the oldies don't have it in them to be at the level of the young teams if they have any hope of having the same level come playoff time.
I think you misread what he typed. --- Anyway, Lakers bench is a joke. If Jamison can average 12+ PPG in 25 minutes of play, it might be OK, but that's unlikely. Curious to see if they can even win 55 games, let alone dominate the West.
I don't post here often (I usually just read) so I wanted my own thread so my thoughts wouldn't be absorbed in a major colossus and not given much air-time.
I think they'll be fine...honestly, no one thinks they're going 0-82. But if they want to win a ring, I think they're going to need a different coach.
