i think the bluejays rebrand was done perfectly... this astros rebrand logo... ummm. someone got a little bevel & emboss happy on photoshop..
i know we dont have official images yet, but i hope they featured orange or the rainbow more prominently on every set so as to avoid having almost the exact same color scheme as the rangers, especially for home and away. ugh...
I like the beveling on the "H" though I might've preferred keeping the ends straight instead of having that angling thing going on. Not sure how I feel about the beveling on star. I might have to see it on a hat.
I like it on the star better than the H. I just feel it gives the logo a slight nod to the funk of the Astros of old. It gives the logo some good character, but it's still overly simple. I like it.
The beveling on the star is really kind of annoying me. It just doesn't flow right. And why is that shirt only 15 dollars when every Texans shirt at Academy is at least 25?!

Now, this I think looks terrible. As stupid as this sounds, on the picture from Academy it's an asymmetric beveling. I like the asymmetry much better than all the points being done. That just looks terrible with all sides beveled. Good thing this is labeled as a mockup on the image file. Bevel.
Ive never had a more clear understanding of the word bevel. When someone first mentioned it, I thought "wtf is that supposed to mean?" But now, describe any logo to me and I can tell you where there should or should not be a bevel placed.

So tired of that word already. Fed up with astros in the AL already as well. Is there another conference they can be moved to??? Maybe bud selig will start a conference in asia but only with the condition that the astros get moved to that conference.
