    The Rockets Roster Consists of:
    Omer Asik
    Jon Brockman
    Carlos Delfino
    Toney Douglas
    Gary Forbes
    Courtney Fortson
    JaJuan Johnson
    Terrence Jones
    Jeremy Lamb
    Jeremy Lin
    Shaun Livingston
    Scott Machado
    Kevin Martin
    Marcus Morris
    Donatas Motiejunas
    Chandler Parsons
    Patrick Patterson
    Greg Smith
    Royce White

That is a total of 19 players on the roster. We can only have 15 so we have to cut four. I think personally we should cut Livingston, Johnson, Douglas, and Fortson. None have a very high ceiling and other's can contribute well. We know that our starters and rookies won't get cut. I like Brockman. He is a strong player. Smith has some talents. He put on some weight and is no longer skinny as a twig. Morris still has a lot of potential. Let me know what you thing. I listed the 10 players most likely to get cut.

    Fortson
    Johnson
    Brockman
    Douglas

Fortson and Johnson are definitely must-outs IMO.

Johnson has more upside than you guys realize. I'd keep him over Brockman.

    Fortson, Douglas, Brockman, and...?

He does but i think Brockman can give some strength down low. I like Johnson and maybe Houston can find a way to have him sign with RGV instead and maybe call him up next season.

It's like we have two Milwaukee Bucks teams fighting to the death.

Douglas' salary has been paid I believe so you might as well keep him if I am right.

Why didn't you make the poll so that you could pick multiple options instead of just one?

I'm new to this. I'm getting used to it. I really don't know how to do that. Thanks for informing me that i can though. I really just wanted to see who people wanted the rockets to cut no matter what though.

    I'd cut the following:

    Brockman
    Douglas
    Forston
    Livingston

The Rockets like men that can play more than one position. It was a toss-up for me between Livingston and Forbes, but Forbes can play 1-3.

That's a nice list. I think Forbes still has some potential to at least become a good role player like a Shannon Brown just less athletic. He'd be a good 8th or 9th man off the bench but he's aging. He's already 27. Besides that i mostly agree.

Shouldn't we wait till the training camp has ended? Why jump the gun?

Well i mean we've really seen most of them play and it's more of just seeing what the fans think is best for the team. Daryl Morey thinks different probably. Who knows. Maybe he'll cut Lin. There's a .0000000000000000001% chance of that happening but it's a possibility. It's really just to see the fans ideas.

This is a misconception. The Knicks threw in $2 million cash in order to mostly OFFSET Toney Douglas's salary, purely from a financial standpoint. This, however, has zero impact on the Rockets' cap situation. The Rockets would not gain $2.07 million in cap relief if they waived Douglas. That would be "dead money" that could not be used elsewhere.

As the only completely non-guaranteed contract, Courtney Fortson is the most likely player to be cut prior to the start of the regular season.
