Wow. Copied and pasted straight from Faux News. -Domestic drilling is the highest it's been. In decades. -bin laden is dead -GM is not bankrupt, but #1 in the world -Jobs have been created for 29 straight months. More jobs created than lost. Those lost have been government jobs. Cutting spending and all. -Health care law has yet to be implemented. -Stock market is new an all time high. Corporate profits are at record levels. Hasn't helped you, you say? You have just successfully argued that trickle-down economics doesn't work. Corporations won't create more jobs just because we give them more money. They will create jobs if lower income people have money to buy their products.
I do think Obama is cool. I think he runs a great campaign, seems like a great father, is well-spoken, knows how to connect with people. I have plenty of issues with his party. But I'm well aware he will get re-elected because of coolness and the Comedy Central party's ability to destroy the old stodgy neo-con party. Stopped reading there.
Like Romney has any good policies that will boost the economy. Both of them are garbage in that regard. Romney's plan consists of recycled plans that have not worked in the past. "Trickle down economics" does not work. Cutting taxes for the rich and increasing taxes for the middle class gets you nowhere. Basically its cute that you think the GOP will do squat considering Bush was the one who put us in a bad position to begin with and Romney's plan does not differ significantly from what George Bush did. In short, both candidates suck and I support Obama only because the GOP has a few more nutcases than the Democratic Party.
Mods, is there any way this thread can be moved to D & D? Many of us would appreciate it. This is basketball here, not politics. Do we have to live and breathe this stuff everywhere we go, every waking moment?
I am surprised by this comment. I always assumed they were friends after I saw this pic of Jeremy sitting in Obama's lap.
