Enough of reports of players saying they are good or rank somewhere, blah blah blah. They all got to the pros so they're pretty damn good, and are confident about it. What do you expect Chalmers to say "I'm average, somewhere in the middle-to lower part of the pack."

I'm not saying in any way do I believe that Chalmers is in the top 10, but too much is made out of what players say about themselves.

Any Point Guard that isn't a short Shooting Guard.

This is my response to Chalmers:

Yep they are both better. Probably Lin too, but there is a lot of volatility with determining how good Lin will actually be, so we'll have to wait and see.

He could keep his foot on the floor where it belongs instead of in his mouth, and not say anything at all, rather than saying something stupid and making a fool out of himself.

    Chalmers is a stud.
    But... top ten PG?
I want to see how he fares playing without three superstars on his team to preoccupy his defenders.

i'm on the "be confident" train.

I don't care if he thinks he's great. He should. He got to be an NBA starter. He should have all the confidence in the world--if he doesn't, he'll probably lose his edge. He's wrong...but I don't care.

Maybe he should keep his mouth shut. But when someone asks you where you rank yourself, I don't really mind an answer

He's no stud at all. Remember what happened to Tyronn Lue after the Lakers traded him? Similar thing for Chalmers if the Heat dumped him.

    I'd say he's bottom 10 in starting PG's.

Actually, I would argue that Chalmers' claim isn't ridiculous if you consider this in the context of the Heat. With LeBron and Wade, the Heat have no need for a playmaking point guard. Shooting and defending are all they are really looking for from that position. Chalmers shot 39% from 3 while being a very good defender. He's also good at making cuts to the basket. The fact that his playmaking skills suck doesn't really matter. I would actually rank around 10-15 in terms of best pg for the Heat.
