I wouldn't count the Spurs out yet to be honest.

Blake Griffin and Terrence are essentially the same size. Blake's numbers his rookie season were 38.0 MPG 12.1 RPG 22.5 PPG. I could make plenty of other exceptions to the rule that you're mentioning.

Terrence isn't Blake, but he's no slouch offensively either. Also, Terrence is probably the better defender. I think the Rockets are a 35+ win team this season. We lack experience, but we have good depth and talented players.

When I was in Vegas I put a bet down on the spurs to win it cause they were 15-1 odds, while LA, Miami, and OKC were closer to 2-1.

They have a small chance, but I just can't see them getting by potentially LA, OKC, AND Miami.

I think the top teams are going to be Miami Boston LAL Spurs and OKC in no particular order. Spurs have the best coach out of all those teams. There not flashy or young but they play fundamentally sound basketball and Pop is brilliant. I personally wouldn't count them out but that is just me.

I take it your being sarcastic.

If you have a playoff caliber team (Spurs) you never know what will happen. There are matchup problems (i.e. '07 GSW-Mavs or '11 Spurs-Grizz) and injuries can change everything. Heat almost never made the finals this year b/c of Bosh's injuries. Chicago never stood a chance once Rose went down.

No thank you. I'd rather see what PPat can do this season than watch some guy ride the bench and us receive a late 1st rd pick. Ideally we are hearing about a trade involving these teams, but not these players.

I'm a little surprised this thread isn't locked. There's no legit source for this rumor. Is this what we've been reduced to; 9 pages about a rumor in a fan forum?

I suppose if it hasn't been locked it could mean that an insider has confirmed its legitimacy with the mods, but it seems like a stretch from what usually passes the smell test.

No, this is what we've been reduced to:

Should Rockets Tank in New Season?
    Earl Boykins: a solution?
    Matching Up With Lakers
    We miss Yao
Is Royce White the next Dennis Rodman?
With the 9th overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, the Houston Rockets select...
    Charles Barkley Appreciation Thread

I'd rather have this thread, personally.

Agreed...I feel the GARM threads have been diluted with crap and the quality of threads have gone to an all time low IMO

So true there is a influx of new posters padding their posting stats by posting the first nonsense they can think of...
