As you all know the Dwightmare continues to drag on and as I read all of these threads, I've noticed something that I don't really understand. Several people have been writing things like, "I'm not going to sleep at all tonight," or, "If Morey doesn't pull off something big I'm going to be pissed about all these sleepless nights ,". You see I consider myself to be a die hard rocket fan, but I've never tossed and turned in bed stressing myself out about trades or free agent signings. I've got other things to loose sleep over. What do you guys think? Does this make me less of a fan, or do you agree with me?
Agreed GM's sleep too. If it's close to the trade deadline than ya they might stay up all night but not tonight... You're a smarter fan.
Same here, I never sleep during the FA period because of my die-hard love for the Rockets. In fact I didn't sleep for one year after we drafted Hakeem. You guys are no REAL fans!!!
I think some of those people saying that are teenagers or college aged kids who have all the time in the world during the summer. (if they're not taking summer classes)
I sleep but in the mornings i immediately turn on my notebook hoping the damn trade finally occurs. I don't think i've ever been caught up with Rockets FA signings or trades like this one. It just goes to show you how valuable a player like Dwight Howard is.
I sleep, but when rumors pop up and stuff late at night, I'll get excited and stay up. Then again, I'm home for the summer without a job, so if I had to get up early I'm sure I'd get to sleep earlier.
the rockets have been irrelevant for so long i don't see what there is to get excited about at all. even if they land howard, the team has been gutted and it would take more than one season to build around him and contend for anything. be lucky to make the playoffs even with howard or bynum...unless more major moves followed. we need a franchise player who will stick around for several seasons and, even then, nothing is guaranteed at all. lose sleep? rockets put me to sleep.
This is all just white noise until something actually happens. I can't imagine anyone literally losing sleep about it. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/zLw4gAXs-ig" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
