Um, no. Cole had a PER of 7.9 in the regular season, 5.1 in the playoffs. His "performance" in the Finals was 3.3 points/game on 33% shooting. If the Rockets liked him going into the 2011 draft, perhaps, but there's nothing about his 2012 performance that was anything other than horrendous. Just because he's on the roster of a great team doesn't mean anything.
Picks are better than cole. He's a nice prospect for a late round pick, but accumulating more picks will be more advantageous to our rebuild than another solid role-player.
Looks like our interest in this deal, along with everything else going on, all leads up to Dwight: Rockets 'pushing hard' for Dwight Howard, using Marcus Camby as bait
I doubt if ppl are over rating the guy just because he played for the Heat He is just a rookie but had a good college career, could be a decent pg while we rebuild. If you didn't notice our current #1 pg is Courtney Fortson..If he is our starter next year it will be painful to watch.
By the same token, he was playing for Cleveland State 2 years ago. I don't think you can really hold a statistically poor rookie performance against him. Its pretty common for players making that big a jump to struggle a bit. Look at Kevin Martin's rookie numbers, for instance. You have to project whether you think he has the makeup to evolve or not. Certainly, the team is in the position where judiciously carying a project or two isn't out of the question.

Don't care for either guy. Gimme that Sixers pick.
They can't send us that pick for Camby without including a player for salary purposes. So it looks like Miami is out.

It's not that I don't see how Lewis and Allen can help the Heat if they have anything left, but don't the Heat need some big man help?
Yeah, but it doesn't have to be Anthony or Cole. In Anthony's case I'd actually like to believe that the Rockets would prefer not to take him on. His contract is pretty bad. Relatively speaking, anyway. Norris Cole... whatever. Not sure why some people think he's any good. Maybe the Rockets think he's worth a flyer, but he's hardly a deal-breaker IMO. James Jones and Juan Howard or Dexter Pittman would work.

Could offer their 2013 1st, but we'd have to take back somebody like Ryan Gomes. Maybe we can talk them into swapping Camby and Livingston for Gomes and Bledsoe, instead.
