So your saying the Rockets have just as good of talent on the team as OKC? Oh dear. I think your just doing a bit.
Scola has been the most consistent inside player since yao retired. What happened in the playoffs when yao got hurt? The offense flowed through Scola once yao got hurt in playoffs. Things worked out and the team was still competitive due to the offensive system of Rick Adelman. Where is McHale's offensive system? Mchale's offensive system is still on the drawing board because he hasn't figured it out yet.
Solomon didn't really say anything. All he said in his article was that if Morey's plan works, it's genius. If not, then we should start overreacting. Basically, let's just wait it out since it's still early. Okay, I get that. And yes, he makes a good point about Lowery. But even a 11 percent chance of landing Dwight is not very good. At the end of the day, Dwight doesn't want to come to Houston. Houston still doesn't have a superstar nor will we lure superstars here. We'll end up still being a lottery team. Even if Dwight comes and let's say Morey is genius, he'll jump ship in one year. What's the point?
I don't think anybody that's been around here for a while is worried per se. Frustrated maybe but worried? Nah... At least I'm not. It's pretty obvious that we're hell bent on getting Dwight one way or another and that was the goal from the start. The one thing I've noticed with Morey from day 1 is that he always finds out a way to get to where he wants to. Sometimes things don't go according to plan or a deal here and there falls apart but the end result of what he wants is usually accomplished. When you're at Point A and trying to get to Point Z of course we all want to get there the quickest and most efficient way possible but sometimes that's not always possible (MKG pick screwing up the draft, Gordon's Agent jumping the gun, D-Will being satisfied with playing alongside JJ, other deals we don't know about that didn't happen and of course "basketball reasons"). Sometimes you have to make a pit stop at the points between and you lose a Dragic, Lowry and then some on the way but we will get there. By getting there meaning landing our prized possesion of the most dominant big man in the league by far without doubt and top 3 player without question. In Morey we trust right? Don't forget that. Solomon is a tool though.
It was magical in the sense that the team played off of each other and the parts were inter-changeable due to the flow. Harden and Safalosha carried the team through the WCF. Did you see that shot Harden made on ginobilli in San Antonio in game 5? The Three pointer off the spin move? That shot was the shot of the series, the game where ginobilli was on fire after everyone criticized the coach for benching ginobilli?
Adelman was the coach and Scola the starting power forward the next two seasons. Why couldn't our *ahem* superstar get us back to the play offs. Please your not even serious, your just doing a bit to get people to argue with you.
You called Scola a superstar. No amount of rationalizing is going to change that. This was after you claimed Lowry was better than Westbrook and then insinuated that the Rockets were on par talent-wise to the OKC Thunder. Strike 1, Strike 2, Strike 3. You're out.
Why mortgage the future of the team on Howard who is coming off of surgery. I mean Howard didn't play in the post season so is he really considered top 3 player. To me the top 3, judging from the post season is 1.) Lebron 2.) Dwade 3.)Durant/Westbrook
I think the Hall of Fame is clearly the next stop. Hell Scola is so Good that after they induct him into Springfield, they'll probably induct him into Cooperstown & Canton as well. Greatest players of all time: 1. Scola 2. Wilt All others are debatable!
Solomon is a self-aggrandizing blow-hard, not unlike Blinebury. The guy refers to himself as The King. And he's not even 1/100th as accomplished as Lebron--who was dumb for calling himself the King.
In speaking of talent-wise prior to Morey mortgaging the future on getting Howard who is coming off of back surgery. Scola and Durant are basically the same player. Their both 6'10 and shoot jumpers. Westbrook and Lowry are basically the same since both basically play with wreckless abandonment. Harden and Safolosha are basically the same as kevin martin since they jack up threes and flop all over the place to get fouls called. That's basically the same talent, but Scottie brooks' coaching made the difference, therefore, Scottie Brooks deserves all the credit for his coaching job.
Dwade struggled in the playoffs and he's got a bummed knee but we're going to overlook that right? Wade #2 ahead of Durant? and a Westbrook mention? The top 3 players in the league goes as follows: 1) Lebron 2) Durant 3) Dwight
So according to you if we got Scott Brooks..we can make it to the finals?!...Forget about Howard, Lets go for Brooks!
Did you not see Dwade dunk and drive pass Westbrook in Game 4, broken knee and all. Did you not see Dwade hit back to back three's in Game 4 which was the deciding game in the Finals since game 5 was a blow-out clinching victory. Did you not see Dwade's play making ability where he drove the lane setting up all of those 3's? Dwight Howard is suspectible to the hack-a-shaq defensive strategy, and now that he is coming off of surgery we should expect that he's gonna get more hack a shaq. Westbrook is a pound for pound better player than Lebron James, Durant, and Dwade.
ya'll better slow the pace down on excitement/ anger... king solomon might sentence you to a slow painful deah in his dungeon, for not allowing him to set you guys pace.
Fire McHale and bring in a coach to implement a winning strategy. Mchale should be coaching ju-co ball or AAU with that strategy of running off players. Bring in Jerry sloan or Don Nelson. Fire McHale.
