If we tank, are there elite players available in next year's 2013 draft?

Since BimaThug thinks we won't trade Lowry, it looks like we're still on the mediocrity treadmill. Martin and Scola are still on the roster as well.

Well I know we'll have a good draft pick because we're gonna suck, so these are the only options: James Mcadoo, Tony Mitchell, Rudy Gobert, and Mason Plumlee. The reason these are the only options is because they're all power forwards.

Were looking at what some believe to be the worst draft class of the decade.

Pretty early to assume we didn't draft on this year.... but more rarely hurts I suppose.

Do the rockets have a 1st round pick? Thought they traded it to the nets

It's lottery protected, so we will have one unless we make the playoffs.

As for the topic, too early to tell. It sure wouldn't be the first time that some guys turned out to be over-hyped coming out of high school or falsely evaluated in their freshman season.

    etc...

From everything I've read or heard next year's draft in all likelihood will suck.

Looks to be at least two players that can be all-stars in the NBA. However, take that with a grain of salt because neither have played a college game yet.

Nerlens Noel and Shabazz Muhammed are supposed to be next big things in the NBA. Muhammed draws Kobe comparisons and Noel is considered to be at that Anthony Davis elite defensive level and not be as thin as Davis.

Outside of that Cody Zeller also has to potential to build a team around.

This next draft has more teir 1 talent than the last one I believe. Not deeper from what I can tell just more level 1 talent.

Yes Tank for Shabazz then tank again for Andrew Wiggins in 2014.

False. There have been some pretty bad drafts recently.

Also I think the top 4 picks of 2013 > top 4 picks of 2012.

    Now, after that......slim pickings.

    It's the Seattle/OKC Durant strategy.

I think this would be awesome as they are my two favorite players in the 2013/2014 drafts. But I don't think it would be best to draft a 6-6 SG/SF and then a 6-7 SF, I'd like to get a big guy too.

If we could actually be bad enough to get in the top 3. As of right now our team is bad but I think in the 10-14 bad range. It's unfortunate, but it is what it is.

If Scola gets traded and possibly Martin or Lowry (my prediction) then I don't see us being in the 10-14 range. I see us in the top 10 for sure.

I agree, but I am basing my prediction on what we have now. Obviously the roster isn't final but I can't predict what it would look like until I see it. I hope we can shed off at least Martin/Scola to give us a real shot at a potentially top 5 pick.
