Why is getting run over by someone going full speed more cowardly than ineffectually swiping at the ball and sending the offensive player to the line? Is it possible you got the definitions of coward and fundamentally sound basketball player mixed up?
This. People underestimate the speed and mass of these NBA players. Sure getting knocked by a 150 lb guy running 10mph at the rec center might hurt. But I assure you getting run into by 250lbs of muscle at 20mph is going to HURT.
Don't understand the hate. Played his heart out for the Rockets (and Memphis and now Heat), plays legitimate and within his limitations, and did not want to be traded away from the Rockets. Only switched team after his contract finished, and picked Heat over Thunders at a salary that befits his production. Terrific role player, and plays better alongside better teammates. It's not like he asked to be traded for Rudy Gay, or he forced a trade out of the Rockets to go to the Heat. Why the hate??? BTW, despite being an all-star, Rudy Gay is only the 4th most important player on his team now, and will be a difficult contract to move.
