After winning 2/3 games on the black court today (I was the shortest player on court, however, my acute vision, quickness, and ability to finish at the rim more than made up for it) I decided to hop onto the Asian side, where I could take a little breather while still getting some cardio. As I headfaked and crossed some chanks into submission, out of the corner of my peripherals, I see an 8/10 dude just sitting there, watching me wreck. I thought to myself, man, that cat looks exactly like Chandler Parsons... lo and behold, it was him. No one wanted to say "hi" to him, so after the game was over, I went up and said, "what's up, brah, I heard you were going to the d-league." he laughed and said, "is that right?" On a more serious note, I was pretty stoked to meet him; totally cool dude. We ended up talking for 20 minutes before I had to leave and meet up some friends. I asked him if he has ever heard of CF, and he said no and asked, "is that the red rowdy section of the crowd?" I told him that it was a huge Rockets forum, where a lot of the posters think that we tanked the final 6 or so games. He said that he wouldn't even play if the coaches or management had asked him to tank. He said the team just couldn't finish. We talked a lot about the similarities/differences between UF and UH. He had a lot of questions about campus, which I thought was pretty cool. Said he was going to come back in 3 weeks after his arm heals to school up the black court lulz. We also talked about alcohol, which he doesn't touch during the season. Tonight, however, is Luis' birthday apparently. And enjoying the effects of liquid courage myself, he asked me and my friend to come out to the lounge and chill at his table where he, Dalembert, and Scola will be celebrating. I'm ridiculously pumped for this; dude is such a down to earth guy to be inviting random people to a celebration with him haha. My friend doesn't drink much, so I'll ask her to take pictures if the players are cool with it. If there's anything else y'all would like me to ask, let me know and I'll check my phone. Brahs.
